She's obviously never had any litter box training, I've given her a litter box w hay, and she still pees and poops EVERYWHERE, in cage or not, even on her own bed. Help! Annabelle is a PIG! :?

Poor Annabelle. She's not a pig. She just doesn't understand the "litter box" thing. My suggestion is to put pee stained tissues and her poop inside the litter box showing her where she needs to go.

Is she spayed? Some intacted females will mark and unfortunately for us humans, rabbits use pee and poo to let others know "THEY WERE HERE" and "THIS SPACE IS MINE."

I had to keep doing that for my boys at first. Putting tissues, poo and even them in the litter box to get the point across.

RO Library also has some articles on how to "litter box" train.

Wishing you all the luck with your Messy Annabelle. In no time at all, I think you will be on here saying how neat and tidy she has become.

Haha! Thanks Karen! She is spayed :) well this poor girl has a lot going on too, so hopefully with her health getting better, her litter box manners will too ;)

Definitely when bunnies are "under the weather" their litter box manners will go south. My Neville was perfect with his litter box manners. But when he got an inner ear infection, I could expect a "spinning bunny" with a head tilt to get it right. Once he was feeling better, it was like we had to start all over again. He is now back to peeing in his litter box. The poo is still outside it sometimes, but not as many as when he was sick.

Wishing Annabelle a speedy recovery. She'll get her litter box manners back.

K:)
