Hey,
Im new to the rabbit world so I want to make sure im giving my bun enough food or if Im giving too much. I know there stomachs can be sensitive. Is this enough or too much? Its a mix of kale. green lettece, red lettece, parsley, and carrots. She doesnt really like carrots tho xC

Kale and parsley is fine, but lettuce and carrot should be taken out. Carrots are very high in sugars and lettuce is linked to heart trouble in bunnies.

Veggies you can try instead are broccoli stems, rocket, carrot tops, bok choy, watercress, arugula, spring greens, dandelion greens, and fresh herbs such as coriander/cilantro, basil or mint.

That looks fine to me. Maybe just one piece of carrot instead of two though. Normal veggie amount ranges from 1-3 cups per 6 lbs of body weight. I feed my 2 lb bun about a cup of veg and forage.

Usually dark leafy lettuces like green leaf, red leaf, romaine, etc, are fine. It's iceberg that you need to avoid as it can lead to diarrhea.
Laura, is there a vet source or study where you got the info about lettuce contributing to heart problems?

The key to foods with rabbits, is that any time you introduce a new food, start with a small amount and gradually increase. This helps give the rabbits gut flora a chance to adapt to the new food and limit the possibility of digestive upset occurring. Then keep an eye out for mushy poop or signs of digestive upset.

I believe it was an unsourced point on one of the "safe veggies for rabbits" articles I was looking up years back that's just stuck with me ever since. I'm trying to find it again but can't, so I'm guessing that info was either inaccurate or disproven. Yikes! Sorry. :bunny16
