AMD Processors

Well I'm going to be purchasing a laptop within the next couple weeks and selling my desktop to my mother. I'm looking at the new processors and was wondering...through proof or opinion, which would be more preferable, the AMD Athlon 64 X2 or the AMD Turion 64 X2? No Intel for me folks. I've never touched the Turions and have no idea what to expect out of them. I do have high expectations for the Athlon though.

The AMD Athlon 64 X2 TK-53 gets the best reviews, it keeps up with the Turon as far as battery life and size but also has the power of Athlon.

I have the Turion 64 in my laptop and I love it. The main difference I found when researching Turion v Athlon was power consumption- the Turion uses less power and thus allows a longer battery life.

For those of you who are saying Athlons, I'm only asking for the Athlon 64 X2 specifically not Athlons in general.

Haley - I perfer performance to battery life so if that's the major difference than I think I shall go with the Athlon 64 X2.
