Bandit and Snoopy are almost litter trained. I mean they pretty much pee in their lil litter boxs some boxes more often than others. However, they drop terds randomly through the house and in areas they power lounge, windows, corners they create a mess of brown marbles. They do drop alot of poop in the litter boxes but not enough.

They are getting neutered Tuesday from a vet with good referrals for 95 bucks plus 10 for pain meds.

Will neutering help this, or what else do you suggest. Our last bunny Sammy pooped and peeded in little boxes and did not create such a mess. I mean it could be worse the marbles are firm and easy to pick up.

A second note how else will neutering change their behaviour? Will they get less active? I hope not I love their antics.

Thanks Bun lovers in Appleton, WI.

They could be marking their territory with poo so neutering them could improve this but it does take several weeks for the hormones to settle after neutering.

Thumper is an intact male. He picked up on peeing in the litter box within a few days. For months he would poo throughout his room but then he stopped doing so and would only drop a few poos every couple of days. I think once he got past the teenage stage and his hormones leveled out then he stopped. He does poo more when he is let to run around a different room.

Yes, it could help but like Denise said it will take a couple of weeks for their hormones to settle down.

Ash is an intact male as well and he mostly pees and poops in his litter box. However sometimes he will poop out of his litter box.

our boys were neutered at 4 1/2 mos. they did great!! after the neuters you'll see a huge difference in litter box habits. ours are 100% after their neuters!! yay!! no more smelly bunnies!! nothing changed with their personalities except they are more lovey!! good luck!!
