My doe is at day 30, almost day 31, and I found a tiny bit of blood in her cage. Is this a bad sign or a good sign??

Also, I've been giving her half a pill of tumseach nightto increase her calcium. Is that in any way harmful?

That's probably a good sign that she may be starting to have her babies. It is completely natural for blood to come out along with babies. My does often get a little blood somewhere in their cages when they kindle.

Leave her in peace and check on her in a few hours.

I don't know if Tums are a good idea, I have never heard of using them before.

Calcium will send them into labor. Noooot smart to overload on that before she's ACTUALLY due. (And even in that case, I would only resort to it around day 34.)

Babies will come when their ready. =D Most does know what they're doing, or figure out pretty quick.

I checked on her this morning and the kits haven't come yet. She seems really close though! Alright, I'll make sure not to give her any more tums. I'd heard of a couple breeders doing that before, but I don't want to send her into labor when she's not ready. Thanks guys!
