Sabriel sneezes a lot- we got him multiple tests to see if it was pasteurella and nothing... (plus the runny-ness is usually clear but sometimes a VERY pale green booger comes up, and he never has anything on his paws) but now I'm wondering if he is allergic to the timothy hay... because I bought some new hay and put it in his cage and he started sneezing like crazy.

So we're gunna get some orchard (is that what it is?) hay tomorrow and take all the timothy hay out and see if that makes a difference.... hmm. Sabriel is so confusing.

all i can think of is dust. x_X smell your carpet, smell the floor lol... like a new cleaner or haven't been cleaned in awhile? maybe with the hay, tie it up on the cage so your bun isn't putting it's nose to the floor to eat? Are you using some strange bedding?

i'm sure your asking all these questions. But it has to be funny to get down on your hands and knees, butt in the air, and sniffing the floor

I've never personally seen it, but I remember that one guy who was on here for a while (The one with that lop, Mr Bun Bun and the dutch named Rocky) had the same problem with Bun Bun. He couldn't give him certain types of hay anymore, and found this out after doses of Baytril and trying to find an answer.

It's pretty crazy how buns can be allergic to it, but I suppose it happens more then you would think.

what test did you have done to see for Pasturella? My vet told me alot of times, the Pasturella bacteria doesn't grow back on the culture, so they may still have it and you just can't know. Green discharge from the nose is not really something you want to mess around with. clear is usually the best of the three, then white, then green is the worst. I spose it your not seeing lots of it, maybe not. idk..
It could be the hay, but I just wouldn't think you'd see green.
