The AFN convention is going on starting tonight in Fairbanks, Alaska and for those of you who said you were intereasted in learning more about Alaska Natives this is a great chance to do so! They are broadcasting the convention live on line and if you want to see it you should go here: http://www.livealaska.net/

Just in case anyone cares it's going on right now, I'm watching it for class. There's lots of cool Native dancing and singing, plus they'll speak their native languages every once and a while, it's very intereasting and cool!

I'll check...I LOVE learning about other cultures and watching native and cultural dances...

Um, I feel dumb. Thanks for informing us, I will check it out! I took a class last semester called Rural Community Building and I was the only non-native in the class. It was a very interesting course, completely discussion. I'm glad I took it.

lol, it's only been in Anchorage for like 5ish years or something I was expecting it to be here until my Native Perspectives teacher said that he was going to be in Fairbanks for the AFN
