The AFN convention is going on starting tonight in Fairbanks, Alaska and for those of you who said you were intereasted in learning more about Alaska Natives this is a great chance to do so! They are broadcasting the convention live on line and if you want to see it you should go here: http://www.livealaska.net/

Just in case anyone cares ;)it's going on right now, I'm watching it for class. There's lots of cool Native dancing and singing, plus they'll speak their native languages every once and a while, it's very intereasting and cool!
 
Oh wow!! I wonder if I can watch it tomorrow (as I missed it :grumpy:)...

I'll check...I LOVE learning about other cultures and watching native and cultural dances...

Um, I feel dumb. Thanks for informing us, I will check it out! I took a class last semester called Rural Community Building and I was the only non-native in the class. It was a very interesting course, completely discussion. I'm glad I took it.

lol, it's only been in Anchorage for like 5ish years or something :pI was expecting it to be here until my Native Perspectives teacher said that he was going to be in Fairbanks for the AFN
