Well, what a night.

Hannah, our elder daughter, went out to meet friends last night and was stood at a bar waiting for one friend to finish a drink when suddenly, a girl stood up and proceeded to glass her boyfriend in the face whilst hitting Hannah with her other hand and knocking her over onto a table full of glasses and bottles. She now has a fat lip and bruised back. The girl was arrested but it looks like the boyfriend didn't press charges as when I rang the police station this morning they said the case was closed. (Not any more it aint, as Hannah is going to press charges on common assault)

Hannah was in a pretty shocked state when she got home .. and it's her 21st birthday today too .. what a start to it hey?

Anyways, Hannah got home at 3.30 and at 4.00 I got a text from daughter number 2 who is on holiday with 5 girlfriends saying .. "Mother, Jenni has brought some random men back to the caravan what shall I do?" I told her to shut herself in her bedroom and go to sleep.

What is it with some people and alcohol?

Man thats awful! Alcohol makes some go psycho! Some of my bro's tech friends were out drinking one night they had all split and were going home and so and so just randomly, didn't do anything and wham he got bottled in the face and lost an eye. His attacker apparently is a really laid back, responsible guy but with alcohol is someone completely diff.

Well .. . we had a fantastic day together today. Went shopping and Hannah spent some of her birthday money on a gorgeous dress that so suits her. She's quite curvy, although slim, and this is the first dress I've seen her in that I've actually said .. YOU HAVE TO HAVE THAT ...

Off for a Thai meal tonight. Not toooo much alcohol .. but a little.

That is so horrible! I'm glad that when I get drunk I just get giggly and wobbly and not rude or aggressive!

I went to a club a few weeks ago where they had plastic bottles. Even the alcopops came in plastic bottles! I think everywhere should do that.. probably a bit expensive though.

I got burned with a cigarette on my 21st birthday. A girl that was at the table next to us was completely trashed and fell onto my stool and pretty much stubbed her cigarette out on my bare arm :X

No offense, but drunk people scare me. They are so unpredictable. I really have no problem with a glass of wine with dinner, but I hate the party scene. But I know when someone just turns 21 it is like a rite of passage. Too bad it had to turn out like that. I'll probably go ice cream shop hopping on my 21st for that very reason. Hope she feels better soon.

Its like the sweet sugary alcoholic drinks, so like a mixture between alcohol and fizzy drinks/pop. Things like Bacardi Breezers, Smirnoff Ice, WKD are considered alcopops.

I'm lucky my 18th birthday went without a hitch Was nice that one of my friends was driving so wasn't drinking which meant we could get drunk but not worry about anything bad happening to us.

I"m going out to my friends bachlorette party tonight. Going to be LOTS of drinking. I'm not to worried about me and my friends but we are going to the bar later tonight and its always pretty sketchy. Lots of slutty bitchy girls and fighting boys. Not really my scene,lol.

My friend works in a local club and says he sees people getting thrown out almost every week! (But then a few Saturdays ago that was me... not for fighting though! Alcohol is eeeeevil.)

But I'm not surprised, I see that every week, last night there were two girls rolling down the stairs literally tearing each others hair out. Not pretty. I'm the same as you, Fran, I don't get violent when I'm drunk, just very silly and say things that I really shouldn't say.

I fall asleep against people I feel asleep against one of my friends on the stairs on holiday and he felt bad about getting up with me sleeping there so he sat there for half an hour

My drinking team has a roller derby problem.

One time, somebody made the mistake of giving me to many Jager shots.. and I am a tall strappin Irish lass. Well this short redheaded man started mackin on me, so I promptly put him in a headlock and dragged him around to everybody and introduced him as my wee pocket leprechaun.

There is a pic of me under a huge neon Jager sign with this wee man in a headlock, look of sheer terror in his eyes, and if you look in my eyes.. there is nothing there.. I am gone.

We never saw that man before that night, and never saw him again after that night.

We all went out this past Thursday after practice.. and this is what I heard Friday..

"Yeah we knew Robbi was wasted.. when shes kinda drunk she loves everybody, when shes really drunk she hugs everybody, when shes oblierated she kisses everybody on the cheek and tells them she loves them*

Robbi kissed me on the cheek repeatedly and she loved me so much we should be married..

Then I heard, from 2 seperate people "Yeah we knew you were drunk, you were all over your husband like you actually liked him, and you were actually nice to Dawn and didn't try to clock her"

THat makes me sad that's how people gauge my drunkeness.. well the husband part anyway.. I thought I always acted like I liked him..

LOL! Fran there could be so many worse things you could do! Apparently I have tried to run out in front of a car twice now while drunk, I do NOT remember any of this, but my friends insist it happened. :?

Zin, that's so funny! Reminds me of someone I know, similar incident, though he locked the man in a cupboard convinced he had caught a leprechaun. :shock:

Heh .. well .. I was fairly drunken on Sunday night and we ended up upstairs in the Hotel singing along to the owners i pod .. (oh god) ... I think I even air guitared ! Bizarrely though, I hadn't had a lot to drink .. a glass of champagne, one vodka and two glasses of wine .. all this in a 12 hour space .. but I was so ill yesterday. It got worse as the day went on and my tea time the waved of nausea were constant. Erghhhh ...

My stomach is still feeling tender and I keep getting crampy wind type pains .. lol .. oh dear.

The police came round yesterday and it doesn't look like we can do anything about the girl that hit Hannah as it is seen as "an accident" as the girl didnt mean to hit Hannah, just glass her boyfriend in the face.

Oh Hum .. I love British law.
