After Surgery Black Lumps

Hi,
My bun got neutered 3 weeks ago, and has has no symptoms after surgery! I noticed he had some black lumps near his groin area recently and took a picture. This is on both the left and the right side...it looks AWFUL! HELP!

My initial thought would be it's dead tissue (which turns black), in which case, I don't think it's healthy for it to be there. Especially if this is 3 weeks after the surgery, I wonder if there's something underneath the sutures that may not be going as planned. Have you called the vet about this? I think your photo would help provide a good idea to the vet.

I will be calling the vet today to try and make an appointment asap. After googling like crazy I was also thinking some sort of necrosis- it’s just weird since he hasn’t had any other symptoms so I didn’t know how concerned I should be. Hopefully they can remove the dead tissue and stitch him back up with no complications. Thanks!
