hi, Snickers just got spayed today. she ate a little at the hospital and when she came home she ate 2 dandelion leaves and half a triscut and like 4 pellets. should i just leave her be or make a mash for her and feed her with a syringe?

Get well and feel better soon! If Snickers just got spayed today, she's probably really tired. It's good news if she's already eating some food.

I would let Snickers sleep in the meantime and wake her only when it's time for her pain meds. Leave some hay near her. If she's hungry, she'll eat it. If she doesn't eat in the next 24 hrs again, then syringe feed her.

thats what i was going to do. if she is hungry then she knows where the food is. and she does have hay in front of her. if i was her i would sleep in the big mound of hay! :)

thanks

Please do not syringe feed her unless she goes off food for a fair while. This will over-stress her and can cause real issues.
As long as somethings going in and somethings coming out, then shes good to go.

she is lust in her hutch. she still is groggy but did eat when some pellets were put in front of her and have a few sips of water. she still is resting and hasn't moved a lot except to go poop. i will keep checking on her throughout the day.
