Hi everyone. I have a 3 year old neutered bunny and he has free roam of the house whenever we are home. He is pretty good for it except he drops poop here and there which we just pick. Suddenly a week ago, he peed in our bedroom floor. We cleaned it up, sprayed with vinegar and even put a litter box there to get him to go there. He chose to pee in another spot close to the litter box, but on the carpet again. We once again cleaned it, but this happened yet again the day after. We have litter boxes in every room but that doesn’t seem to help. He doesn’t pee anywhere else in the house though. Nothing has changed recently, not even our cologne or cream etc. We took him to vet two weeks ago and he’s healthy. does anyone have any suggestions on why this is happening ? We really want him to be allowed in the room again. Thanks !

Keep him out of that room or get a carpet cleaner like we had to(mother in law), not bunny related, but it still cleans up any mess all the way thru.

We were hoping we could find a solution since we are in our room a lot and we don’t want to lock him out. :( He sits at the door and scratches the door to be let in- he’s super clingy. Up until these recent weeks, he just naps in our room to stay close to us and I feel bad for him if he’s alone outside

Try giving him more things to play in--I have a pan full of shredded newspaper inside of an apple box with the top on and holes in both ends that mine love. I also have a huge pan full of shredded newspaper that our mini rex loved to hide in--she'd be under the paper and you could see it moving around and then she'd pop up thru the paper-hours of fun and it doubled as a potty for her. Another trick would be to place a piece of carpet in that area with plastic under it to trap any leakage.

Thanks! I can definitely try that. He doesn’t seem to like toys but I haven’t tried giving him shredded paper. I definitely will put a rug down. Hopefully whatever made him start will soon stop.
