Shes skinny enough where I can feel her bones. This lady obviously lied to me, long story, but I gave her carrots, parsley and her pellet food and she went to town!! I want to know if there's any thing I can do to fatten her up in a healthy way? She also seems to have fleas, I'm thinking I should wait a bit to treat her maybe, to get her a little healthy first? Or don't wait? And what works for fleas?? THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

I went threw this with Muppet. Your best bet us a good quality pellet and unlimited hay. How old is she? You can mix some alfalfa hay into her regular stuff for more calories and protein. Also give her some steel cut out. You can find them at most grocery and health food stores.

revolution can be used for fleas. I'm not sure if I would treat her yet b/c of her compramised state although the fleas can cause her to become anemic. If her color on the insides of the ears or gums is pale then I would treat her asap.

revolution must be obtained from a vet so getting a check up would be in order. And use the kitten/puppy package.

I would advise a vet check up. If shes in this poor of condition there may be more going on if the last owner didn't look after her.

Put weight on her very slowly!
If you suddenly start trying to put weight on her and feeding her more then she was ever used to, you can actually cause alot of muscle and joint problems and make the situation worse. It should take a few months for her to reach an acceptable weight if shes really thin.

Use revolution for the fleas 18mg/kg.

My vet recommends Advantage for kittens for use on rabbits. If you don't mind the drive, Halifax Humane Society sells single doses very inexpensively.

You can serve veggies as long as the bunny is having any loose stool.

Thanks for your help all! I'll keep you updated! She still pooping lots lol but she doesn't move around much, she basically goes where she sleeps, which I feel is probably not good. I can get advantage or revolution (just got some for my rat lol) I would like to bring her to the vet but I need to save up $, or get a cc, gonna try and figure something out ASAP!!! I guess RAVENWOOD is the place to go?

She had mites and bacteria in her ears, bacteria growth on the outside of her ears, obviously very under weight, covered in fleas, and her teeth need to be filed bad. Poor girl, I'm so relieved that the vet - Ravenwood in port orange, fl, was so willing to work with me (cash is tight) they gave her a shot to help w the mites and any possible stomach issues too, some ear drops, and wiped for the outside of her ears too, and some flea medicine. Poor baby! But I've made her. Omfy under my dining room table (well at least that's where she's decided to stay lol) and have plenty of fresh veggies, pellet mix, water, critical care food, toys and love I think the people at the vet fell in love with her big old' ears I will keep you guys updated, hopefully she will gain weight and start getting better soon!!!

She is such a beautiful baby! :inlove:

English lops have the cutest ears. Once she gets to feeling better watch out, I understand they can be rather naughty. Then again, all buns can and that is why I love them so. :)

Bless you for taking her in and getting her better.
