On the back of my last post about fighting males - since it looks like they'll have it be separated permenantly, I hate to think of them living out the rest of their years alone ... my instinct is to introduce a female to each male for company, but is that just a naive, knee jerk reaction? I understand that the process would take quite a while, but is it wise? I don't want to end up with 4 separated rabbits!

There is a way to ensure that you do not end up with 4 separate rabbits. I believe your rabbits are (or are going to be) neutered.
Once they are 8 weeks past neuter surgery, you can contact a rabbit rescue (different from generic shelter). Let them know what you are trying to accomplish -- finding one bondmate for each of your males.

Typically what they do is have you bring in your rabbit to meet (bunny date) some potential bondmates. You can introduce each of your males to spayed females until you find a potential for each rabbit. The rabbit rescue will work with you and guide you through the process. Once you get them home, you continue the bonding process.

But, if one of the newbies doesn't seem to be working out, then the rescue typically allows an exchange. Once I had to go through two rabbits before finding one that my girl would accept.

Going through a rabbit rescue is the way to ensure you wind up with compatible mates.

Now that sounds sensible! I've never heard of a rabbit rescue service before (I'm in the UK), but I'll start looking into it and see what I can find. Thanks for the help.
