Tonight was the first night that I truly got down on Bunny's level. Now, I ALWAYS sit down on the floor when she's out, but this time I LAID down, just to see what she would do. She had gone back into her cage and laid down, and looked like she was about to knock out, but when she saw me so close to the floor, she put both ears straight forward (I've figured out that's a clear sign she's curious), and came and bumped noses with me! It wasn't the first time, and it was clearly something of a compliment....and was simply ADORABLE!! She seemed so pleased to have me so close by. After her initial hello, she came by to sniff noses and greet me just to let me know how happy she was to have me on her level. It was so precious!

After that, she walked/hopped around a little more (though by this time she was pretty tired, so running and binkies weren't really happening any more tonight), and eventually came back around, and this time jumped up on top of me! She looked so proud! Queen of Mt. Mommy!

Earlier in the evening, I got another first. She went around in front of our closet doors and did a half-flop onto the floor. It's the first time she's laid down and stretched out when outside of her cage.

I was so honored that she seemed to have so much fun with me tonight. It was truly wonderful to see her doing things that clearly indicated she's not only happy here, but comfortable and feels safe as well.

What a sweetie! What a great night!! :D I feel honored, I'm fully a Bunny Mommy now.

It's thoughts like these that get me really excited about being a bunny person. Everything that I've read has told me that bunnies have such a real intelligence and their communicating abilities really out match all other typical pets. I can only imagine how much fun it will be to interact in ways like what you describe with such fun little critters.
