A little more specific?

I usually follow this list when it comes to buying fruits, veggies, and herbs for my bun:

http://adoptarabbit.org/articles/packet/abcvegi.html

But I wish it was just a little bit more specific.

i.e. Which type of basil is best? Sweet or Thai?
Which type of parsley is best? Curly or Flat?

etc. etc.

Or does it not matter? Can rabbits eat various types of certain plants? There has to be some that they cannot eat?

Lots of good info Melissa. Thanks for posting.

Regarding veggies and fruit, I stick to the lists that you both posted. But the only thing I do is introduce slowly at about 6 months of age. I start out with just little portion and then check for 24 hours to make sure it's not interfering in any way with their digestive system.

I don't give large portions of veggies. But they are good for the bunnies as well as important for their digestive tract. And full of water so it does keep your bunny hydrated. Willard is prime example. He loves his veggies. And it does supply the water he needs to keep everything going.

Regarding the different types of basil for example, or even kale, just take it slowly. See if your bunny even likes it. Some don't like certain types. In a way, bunnies are like people. They like what they like. So don't be set back if you offer something and they don't like it. They may hesitate at first, try it, but then put their nose up the next time you offer.

Hope this helps!

K:)
