I have a very small little thing going on Etsy.

I recently finished and listed a new item. Basket of Bunnies, and in the description I included the following:

A message from MA BEARS:
Hello Everyone! The fall is upon and us and soon will follow winter and spring. Easter will be here before we can blink. We hope you will consider buying a stuffed or chocolate bunny friend over the living, breathing sort, but should you have your heart set please make sure to read up on the care and needs of real life rabbits before making your final decision. We here at MA BEARS support our local rabbit rescues and encourage anyone to adopt a bun who really needs a loving home! Thanks! Have a great holiday season with many blessings!

If there is a better way to say something about adopting or buying stuffed...I am open to suggestions...also...If I want to donate a part of bunny related item sales, how would I go about doing that ina way that would benefit a rescue, the buns they have and know it was used for what it was meant for....

I don't think most rescues adopt out during Easter...but some may be different.

Can't help really with your questions but it reads good to me.

Gainesville Rabbit Rescue will adopt out before Easter, but (as usual) we very carefully screen the adopters. We certainly don't adopt to the people who call the week before and tell us that they want the bunny for an Easter gift for their child. We have talked about starting an Easter rent-a-rabbit program. The family can give a rabbit to the kid for Easter and then bring it back the next week. That's a joke, BTW. We did talk about it though!

I like your message. You might add a link to the House Rabbit Society so they can educate themselves.

If you wanted to donate part of your proceeds to rescue, GRR would be very happy to receive a donation! It would most certainly be put to good use. I personally (out of my own pocket) pay for our local vet bills. Our parent organization would contribute if we asked, but we are trying very hard to be independent. Last months bill alone was $1,400. Let me know if you would like to donate and I will give you info on where to send it. We are a qualified 501(3)(c) and your donation is tax deductible.

My rescue has adopted out during Easter in the past, but we have a very strict screening process for all adoptions. I like the way you have worded your message, it sounds informed and respectful.

I bet there are many, many rabbit rescues that would be very appreciative of a donation in any amount. My rescue is also a qualified 501(3)(c).

Thanks!

I will keep things in mind should I start to actually sell some stuff lol....
