Hi,

We lost our beloved Fiver yesterday & I'm now worried about ourother bunny Hazel. We got them both at virtually the sametime to keep each other company so she's never been on her own& I know they are social creatures.

I was wondering about gettinga friend for her because I don'twant her to get lonely but I don't want to feel like I'm replacingFiver because that's not possible.

I'm torn between feeling guilty about her possibly getting lonely& my memories of Fiver fading. I don't want to forget him but Idon't want to lose my other bunny either. Plus I don'tknowifI can go through this heartache again. Plus wouldthey get on?

Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

If I was in your place I would strongly considergetting another bunny. If there are any rabbit shelters or rescues inyour are they should let you bring Hazel to how she would bond with anyof the adoptable rabbits there. I think Fiver would happy to know thatHazel would have a new companion, and that would honor Fiver's memory.:rainbow:

In the timefollowing the loss of a companion, many rabbits are more receptive tonew friends. I agree with Mambo - see if you can set up a "date" withanother bun at a shelter or rescue.

I'm sorry you lost Fiver :hug2: :rainbow:
