Hi! I just have two questions.

I put some shredded newspaper in my rabbits cage and she immediatleystarted eating it and flining it around. I only gave hr a handfull. Isit ok for her to eat large amounts?

Also mostly when she's molting she gets clumps of gucky fur on hereyeball that I try to get off but it doesn't work. Should I just lether blink it out?

Thanks!

The paper isn't likely much of a problem (they eat trees!) but the inkcouldn't be all that healthy forthem.I'vegiven up from trying to stopmine, though. I just try andkeep the pages aroundwith the least print.

Pipp gets clumps of hair in one of her eyes daily, and I pull it outwith my fingers after trying to gently coax it into the corner ofhereye. Using tissues or anything related isn'tgood, it really irritates the eye.

You can also try putting acouple of drops of cool/cold blackor green tea in hereye.Just make a cup atea, put some in a squeeze bottle of some kind, put the drops in hereye(s) and thenstore the rest in thefridge.

The tea may notwash the hair out right away, but it will makeit come out on its own later, or make it easier to pluck out.

sas, :)pipp :bunnydance:and the herd

Thanks for your reply :).

I've read that the ink is soy based as they were getting sued abouttoddlers eating the newspapers and getting sick before so they changedit to soy. I've also read soy in some rabbit foods so is this still nothealthy?

The last time she got a bundle of fur I stroked her eye while her eyeswere closed and got it to the corner and just wiped it away.I tried it this time but it kept going down and wouldn't comenear the corner and she kept flintching and running away. She got itout when she was washing her face so I'm happy about that :).

Also do you know about willow branches? Are they ok to give to rabbtis fresh?

I think you have to dry most branches except forapple. You could cut it now and give it to them in amonth.Untreated willow/wicker baskets and balls aregreat too!

I've got a question, i've got three bunnies, andthey have thier little tissy fights and stuff. Lately they'vebeen pulling clumps of hair from each other's backs, I dont think it isgrooming, because the hair is completely pulled out. Doesanyone else have this going on with thier bunn's? Thanks!

I'm guessing they're not spayed or neutered? It sounds likethey are fighting over who is dominant or over territory. It's really common for this to happen once the buns hitpuberty. You'll need to separate them, as they can seriouslyhurt each other. If you want them to live together, the bestway to do it is to have them all spayed/neutered and then rebondthem. You can read about bonding here:

Bunny Bonding

The two older ones are neutered and spayed, thethird isn't neutered yet, but the older two are bonded and they stilldo it. Could it just be sibling rivalry?
