Sloane needs SubQ Fluids right now and well that just doesn't go over really well with her.
It isn't even really the needle stick. It is the feel of the fluid when it starts to flow out of the needle..
The vet gave us 20 guage and I asked for something smaller to be filled.
We are it seems having troubling getting them filled at the pharmacy at this moment. 18, 22 blah blah sigh.

Anyway. I was telling lovelops about my straight jacket and she thought Maybe I should share it would you all here. Maybe to help those who also are having trying times getting fluids in your buns at home but really need to have them too.

I hope you can read what I wrote on the pictures. I hope it helps someone!

Now for us Sloane wouldn't sit still period once she felt the flow of fluids begin and the fight would begin.
Once I had her wrapped up in the jacket of ours and a towel going over my arm to protect me from biting I was able to hold her, Find the right spot, pop my tent, insert the needle and SLOWLY open those fluids. We moved at a real slow pace but got those 50milis in.

We just might do another round this evening. We are off to go do battle with some critical care right now.
Off to the good fight :)

Personally seeing it in action with the toy, I think it's a great idea to use with Rabbits or even Chincilla's that are going to need fluids or anything in a similar vein. I looks like it held her really well and once that was in place there was no problems with her feet/paws kicking out during the IV running...

Great idea! I hopefully won't have to use one on my bunnies, but if I do... I'll be putting one of these together..
