So only one of my babys has this issue. Its not runny poop or anything. Its just stuck to his bottom.. i mean STUCK like caked on his belly :( The last few days i have had to take baby wipes and try and get it off but i had to legit pull to get it to come off.
So yesterday i decided to bring him in for a bum bath. He didnt seem to mind it.. He actually started to fall asleep. I went out this morning to check on him and its even worse today! Once my dad is done with the pressure washer im going to bring him in again and wash him..
Does anyone else have this issue with babies?! Is there anything i can do to make him feel better?!

Maybe its really hard to tell because its realllly caked in there...He sat in some warm water for about 45 minutes before anything loosened up.

Had the same problem with one of the rexes--she'd lay on the cecals and they were getting stuck, and had to let them dry for 2 days before I could get them off her. Started checking and cleaning with wipes several times a day till she cleared up.

One of my babies had this and it was the one that was the smallest and the one that was getting picked on from it's other siblings. As it was never in the nest with the rest as they'd push him out i gathered that mum wasn't cleaning his bum properly so i helped clean him everyday and help feed him and put him under mum myself. I don't know if this is the same with you, i just thought i'd share my experience. I think just cleaning him will make him feel better.

Ok im not the only one then! Yeah that sounds like what he is doing... He is making a mess of the hutch though >.< I cleaned him up three times today and seems to be doing better.

"Pancake butts" are common with Holland Lops that we raised for years. After carefully removing the caked on poop, I'd trim the fur (be very careful!) and put on a "tiny" bit of petroleum jelly daily to help keep poop from sticking. They generally grow out of this problem.
