I have just purchased 4 new rabbits to join our family and boy are they lovely! It is the first time I have had rabbits that live in doors with us and it is so much more loving having them know exactly what we are up to all day and talking to them and just seeing them all the time!!

They are all mini lops, Darling is a butterfly otter girl and her brother Marmite is a self black otter they share a two storey large hutch indoors and Nala is a Harli girl and her brother is a magpie and they share a hutch.

Today was the first time they were allowed to run around the room together as they have now settled in but Darling kept running after Nala and Simba and had hold of their back so I hope that was just teething meeting problems :confused2: because these two are very quite and unsure where Darling and Marmite are confident.

So happy I found this site as it is quite scary wanting to get everything right for your pets!!

Welcome! You'll do great, and it sounds like you are treating your buns like royalty already! There's TONS of great info on this forum, and the people are super nice.

And we are gonna NEED to see pics of the new babies :)

Are these all young? They will all start getting hormonal & need to be separated at about 3 months. Females can get pregnant at about 3 months. So having them as boy-girl pairs isn't a good idea, I'm afraid. Rabbits don't know they're not to 'do it' with a sibling.

Welcome! How old are all the buns? You will want to get them fixed especially if they are with opposite sex. And, unless all 4 bond you might not be able to have them all four out together at the same time without conflict. And be careful because bunny fights can be nasty!

Would love to see pics. And love their names, by the way :)

Marmite above is a loving rabbit and washes me frequently!

Nala below is quite and loves to sleep in our arms when she is stroked.

Simba below is a super rabbit, he jumps on top of everything and off everything... He also loves his ears massaged!

I cannot get Darling to sit still. She is the dominant one who at the moment is showing aggression to Simba and Nala. She cannot now be allowed to mix with the others as she got into a horror fight today and Nala had a cut foot and she got a bite on her ear!!
It starts early and yes I now know to seperate them thanks to you all! They are coming up 10 and 11 weeks old.

Here is a video on youtube which has Marmite and Darling in it just before they came home to us, Darling is the black and white butterfly otter... (not the grey and white) and Marmite is in there bouncing around also!
