Today we had a show...well we went to a show, lol. Anyway, I got up at 5 this morning to get ready (because we had to be there by 7:30) and we left at 5:45! Record time!

Anyway, here's what the bunnies got:

Savannah: 2nd place (1st first place with my sister in Fitting & Showing; and Karlee used her for fitting and showing and Karlee got the ribbon - since the handler does the work, not the rabbit ;))

Mississippi: 2 blues, 2 BOB's, 1 BOV - He was the only one in his breed for both Show A and Show B.

Magic: 1 blue

Autumn: 1 blue

Me: 1 blue for fitting & showing with Bruce (who, no offense, wasn't that good! I need to work with him more.)

Bruce: DQ; Overweight and has an abcess ! Don't worry, we're taking care of the abscess tomorrow. The Judge said we can just clean it and pop it ourselves, and we'll watch to make sure it doesn't get infected or worse - if so he's offtoo the vets!

Willow: 1 blue (pet class)

So yeah, that's all our bunnies - right? lol. Well except for the three we left at home. Anyhow, my friend was selling her mini lop, Lucy-Luu and I'm probably going to be bringing her home at the end of April. She's purebred, pedigreed, and only $15!! She's adorable and soo sweet. I've always wanted a french or mini lop, and mini's are really close to Frenches' so I decided to get a mini. Today, my mom said "no" to get her, but I'm still gonna get her anyhow, lol. She's gonna be my house bunny and I am going to either buy her a cage, or get the one back from Karlee, and keep her in that, with a run attached! Yay! Lol. I can't wait until I -hopefully- get her!! I'm pretty sure I will though. I'll also show her as well.

During the Show B show, this one girl was bringing up her Checkered Giant to the table, and he jumped out of her arms and hit his back on the concrete floor I guess (FallingStar -Karlee- Will be able to explain better; she saw it happen I think) and then I heard several "oh no's" so I looked under the table (this was when Sippi was up being judged) and her rabbit was pulling herself across the ground just by her front feet. Her owner started crying and everyone thought the rabbit's back was broken. It was just awful! I feel so bad for her, and I have no way to contact her until to find out how her checkered is doing until the next show that we're both at. Anyhow, the rabbit was put back in her carrying cage with lots of hay to make her comfortable.

Well I'll have some pictures up later, we only took like 3; some are bad because my neice was messing with the camera when she shouldn't have been, and it's just like a picture of some cages and the wall! :?:biggrin2:. Anyway, I did get a good picture of Karlee doing fitting and showing with my sisters' bunny Savvy, and Karlee looks so professional! Lol.

Congratulations!! Ya'll did GREAT!

I'm sorry to hear about the Checkered Giant bunny, I too hope everything turned out okay.:(

Do post the pictures from the show, I look forward to seeing them.

Ok, about the Checkered Giant, the judge went over ant felt it's back and legs and said that his/her back wasn't broken, but the thinks that it's feet are probably bruised. But it was heart breaking to watch that poor bunny walk across the floor, dragging it's hind feet. :( I almost cried myself. :tears2: He said that since they have long spines that they can easily be broken or bruised. The judge said that she should just leave the rabbit only and let her rest for a couple of days.

I felt so sorry for that girl, because her Checkered Giants were beautiful rabbits. But she had another Checkered Giant, that made it to the table.
