After a vet trip, I ordered some Oxbow Timothy pellets from Montrealcritters.com (BTW Outstanding shipping time - less than 24 hours from order to door!!) - I know timothy pellets are better for him in the long run and they have more fiber - that's the reason I switched (After ordering the pellets, I posted asking about them - which I should have done before ordering and now it,s too late)

I got the pellets and startedby adding about 1/4 of his food as Oxbow and the remaining 3/4 his Nutriphase food. He won't touch the Oxbox - they do smell different that the other pellets. They're a tiny bit smaller than the Nutriphase pellets so I know which ones he's leaving behind. Will he eventually eat them? He does get lots of hay & he eats his toys & cardboard too - Do you think he'll come round and eat them? Hubby is gonna kill me if I have to buy a different type of foodand waste these...

His appointment for his Neuter (??) is in two weeks so I went back to all Nutriphase and I'll wait for him to heal up before changing up his food - in case he gets the runs or something else.

we've had problems like this in the past, so we phased out pellets over a couple of days and re-introduced them in a very small amount at first--found our boys and girls were happy to eat them. Not all are quite that picky. Also had a couple that would not eat any hay, so did the same thing with the pellets--they didn't get any til they started eating their hay. Now they are some of top Timothy hay consumers. Rabbits are constantly trying to "train" us and it usually works.

I love Montreal Critters! But it takes a few days to arrive here :p

Our new girl will eat the Oxbow Alfalfa pellets but wont eat the Timothy ones. Some rabbits are just picky. My other 3 bunnies love the Timothy pellets!

I when I will switching her over in a few months. I'm sure if you leave the pellets there long enough they'll get eaten. But most bunnies will pick Alfalfa over Timothy because they taste better.

Yet Peaches will eat the Timothy hay but won't touch the Alfalfa hay - I'm stuffing a bit in with the Timothy but normally he won't touch that

I'm thinking of switching him after the surgery - I won't mess with his diet before he gets fixed - just in case.
