25 lb Bale of Hay

We're looking at ordering a large bale of hay for our bunnies. Several websites have 25 lb bales for sale. Has anyone ordered one of these? If so, how large is the actual bale, dimension wise? We've been buying the 48 oz bags at PetSmart, but these bales would be a more economical choice. We live in an apartment, so we don't have tons of space to store tons of hay.

Also, a lot of the places we've looked at ordering from are local (or at least in-state) and we're liking the idea of supporting small/family businesses. If you live in Virginia or somewhere relatively close, do you have any recommendations as to where to order from? We're looking for quality, of course, but also something that will be cheaper than PetSmart (per ounce/lb). So far, we've gotten a free sample from Bunny Bale out of Covington and Nibbles seems to like it. We've seen mixed reviews on them, though.

We get ours from Drs. Foster and Smith. If you get 25 pounds, you could put it in a large plastic storage tub. We get 75 pounds at a time so it's quite large, but we have storage room.

I started off with the Oxbow 9-lb package, which is 3 times the 48-oz size. 25 lbs would be like 8 1/3 bags of the 48-oz size.

If Nibbles liked the sample, then it shouldn't matter what other rabbits thought of it.
