My first question is about when to startchanging Mocha over to timothy pellets. I finally found Oxbow timmiepellets today, yeah! I had found them before, but they were in a petstore I would never give money to.:( She is about 5 months old now andI'm pretty sure she's done growing. Could I start switching her soon? Iknow that 6 months is average. The reason I ask is that she seems to beneeding a little more fiber- she eats some hay, but her pellets areKaytee Forti-Diet and their max fiber is only 18%. She doesn't have anyreal problems, it's just that her hay intake changes with her mood andher poo looks a bit soft when she's not eating hay.

My second question is related to the heat. We have one air conditioner. It's for my bedroom as I sleep during the day and the layered blindsand curtains prevent almost all air movement. It gets really hot inthere. Mocha has a fan and ice, but I'm wondering if I should move herinto my bedroom. Thing is, she'd hardly get any light. Would this harmher? I don't think she'd like it very much. We can't get a second ACbecause it would overload the circuit- one small one almost does.

For now, my plan is to leave things as they are unless it gets super hot.

Thanks!

Pebbles was 5 months old when we gother. She was already eatingunlimitedTimothy Hay, 1/8 cup of Oxbow T Pellets, and regular greens (vegs).

As for your bedroom, leave every thing as is. Andwhen it does get hot you can move her there as a temporarybasis. Pebbles gets free run inourhallway, and the hallway light is always on.

Thanks! I'm so excited to get her on some decent pellets!

You said Pebbles gets free run of the hallway- does that mean you'renot caging her anymore? We just let Mocha start running in the hallwayand bathroom again. She had been banned due to naughty hormonalbehavior. I hope to let her run free in part of my apartment all day,but we're a ways from that yet.

Pebbles gets 5 to 6 hoursinour hallway. She is in her cage withthe top off when we are home, she never jumpsout. At night we put the top on.
