    Bunner's chin Abscess

Okay so is it okay just to try the Zithromax first? We're a bit tight on money now.

    Bunner's chin Abscess

How do you inject the penecillin? Is it just under the skin? My mother is very resistant to getting it, she says we should just try the zithromax for now.

    Bunner's chin Abscess

My mum wasn't here, so I took it upon myself to lance it. I think there's a couple of 'pockets' seperating the pus in there because even after cleaning it out of the poke hole(Sterile injection needle poked in it, ouchie!) it's still a lump and quite firm. Rabbit pus stinks and it's all chunky...

Okay going by the information i manages to get some ibuprofien and zithromax into him. I dissolved them in water and added some vanilla extract and he swallowed it right up. I hope it helps him. ): He's been grinding his teeth a lot lately.

    Really Leaky Eye?

I've been checking his eye and there's nothing obviously stuck in it. that rules out one cause at least. i think i'll try to convince her to take him in because we also need to get him some medication. let's just hope it's something minor

    Bunner's chin Abscess

Okay, we had to go out for a trip, the abscess is back and very firm. We can't get anymore pus out of it. Mum's against vet visits saying he's too old and there's nothing the vet will be able to do ): the good news is we do now have some zithromax

    Really Leaky Eye?

Okay, so over the past few months, Bunner's eye has been oozing a whitish discharge. The vet told us it was nothing to worry about at first, but now it's oozing so much, a circle of fur at least an inch around his eye is soakes ): THe same is is now closed more often. what could be causing this...

    Rabbits and Pain?

Rabbits don't show their pain obviously, but are there any signals other than tooth grinding? For anyone who knows, my bun has an abscess and I can't tell if it's hurting him ):

I wonder why rabbits go nuts for bananas? It's not what they'd eat natrually.

    Bunner's chin Abscess

I think we have ibuprofien, I'll go with a little bit of that for today. Just to keep him confortable until we get him to the vet. No ibuprofien. We'll take him to the vet soon.

    Bunner's chin Abscess

Are there any people painkillers we can give to bunner? I wouldn't want to try anything without someone confirming it's okay, but I don't want him to be in pain until we can get him to the vet.

    Rabbity Treats

My old man rabbit absoloutly ADORES yogurt drops. We buy them from the pet store, and they come in flavours like honey, carrot, and fieldberry (His favourite). He also likes bananas! This is his FAVOURITE treat.
