Hi, My little Timmy who is only 3 years and 4 months old seems to haveinjured either his spine or hip. The anti-inflammatory medicationhasn't done anything, so it's not arthritis. I have to confine him to alittle penned in area, or else he'll damage the apartment with peeing. He used to be...

They're not open wounds (there's not blood oropening)and he doesn't flinch when I touch them. He's notoverweight, though he is a voracious eater! Maybe I'm just being over-protective. it's possible these sores areleft over from when he lived for several years with a badly maintainedlitter box...

Bald spot with flaky skin and loose hair

Hi Guys, It's in the middle of his back. I've read many of the posts regarding mites or just flaky skin, so I've decided to put listerine on the bald spot to get rid of what might be mites. Someone here suggested checking for mites, how do i do that? Can I see them with the naked eye...

Wildfire is gorgeous! I couldn't get Woody Petso I'm using wood shavings that are not pine or cedar but other woods.I will definitely let you know how things progress. Funny, but since I've been putting desitin on his foot and changing islitterbox, he's been extra affectionate. Bunnys are...

Thank you all for your excellent advice! I'mgoing to buy Woody Pet today and use that as the main bedding for hislitter box, then cover it all with a layer of hay for him to munch on.If I change that every day and use desitin on the bald spot, I thinkhe'll be ok. I think the worst part of it...

Bare skin plus what looks like a scab on bottom of foot near heel :(

He runs around on these cheap area rugs I got atKMart, but I bet it's the dirty litter box. I'll try the Desitin andkeep the litterbox clean every day. Thanks so much for the prompt replies and thorough answers. This forum is a wonderful resource!

What's Desitin? Can I get that at a regularpharmacy? Timmy is a free roaming bunny without a cage so it's not cagewires that would have caused the bald spot. A litterpan that isn't cleaned frequently enough, would that cause it??? (ooops....)

Hi Folks, Anybody seen that on their rabbits? When I touch it he doesn't flinch. It's pink and the scab is dry. I think his natural skin tone is pink.Doesn't seem to be infected, yet I don't want topay a vetbill right now. Maybe it's just a bald spot??:(

Do you own a single rabbit, Greta, or are thereothers? If he's single, then it's great to hear that he's ok being leftalone longer than usual. I do know somebody who would check up on him,but that's not the same as being with him, of course.
