Our doe did end up giving birth to a healthy litter but turned out she had gotten pregnant later than we thought she had, could this be the case for you? Has there been another encounter since the initial breeding?
Good luck 😉
Two of my rabbits have been living together for two weeks now and we have just found out that one is a male. They are both of breeding age and non desexed, they are not related.
the doe isn’t showing any signs of been pregnant except an increased appetite, and drinking more water than usual...
We just had a litter of 8 kits born last Thursday, we don’t own a male so it was a massive shock, she must have gotten pregnant when she escaped last month, she was meant to be getting desexed next week, looks like that isn’t happening
Thank you so much, we try to keep the rabbits out of the sun as it is to reduce the risk of sun burn and such, I haven’t heard the seizure thing before but that is something to think about, do you think it could still affect them as they are grey not white?
Thank you so much, I don’t think the babies eyes will change anymore as they have had their eyes open for a while and they started out much darker than they are now
Our rabbit has recently had 5 gorgeous little babies which have all turned out to have blue eyes, was wondering if they could be more susceptible to vision problems than other rabbits, I’ve heard that white bunnies with blue eyes may be, the babies are grey.
Hi my rabbit specky has developed an obsession with my naibour a rabbit toothless. He is the father of her babies which she weaned about a week ago. Seeming as the babies were all girls they still all live together happily. I don’t know if mabey she is trying to get to him to mate, we don’t want...
Ye that confuses me because rabbits naturally start eating greens before they are weaned, if they did wait what are they supposed to eat for four months? Domestic rabbits arnt that different that it would cause a problem, my babies love to nibble on the greens we give their mum now that they are...
Thank you, we do have homes lined up and as I said we are only considering it, that’s why I’m asking so that we can make an informed decision. We will most likely not go through with it but I’m doing some research anyway.
She would only have one litter and we have people who want them otherwise we wouldn’t do it, there’s only a slight chance and they have asked if these two particular bunnies would be the parents because of there friendly nature and desirable traits. Mix breeds also tend to have less health...
Hi all I have a rabbit that we are hoping to breed. She is chinchilla and the buck is solid black, I know both of these colours are resesive so I was wondering if anyone could clue me into how the resulting kitts may look the first pic is the doe and the second the buck
Thank you, we are going to call the vet on Monday and check for certain, their Mum and our other rabbit have been vaccinated so they have never come into contact with any unvaccinated rabbits. When the babies get their vaccines both the adults will get re vaccinated, thanks for the help :)
Ye I can see bits and bobs in her but I have no idea what else I’ve asked people on here before and they said they haven’t seen anything like her before so I’m not really any closer
Other than that I can’t really can’t help you too much, as I said I’m in a similar situation with one of my bunnies, this is her if anyone has any ideas, she’s about a kilo and is chinchilla colour
