    Travelling With Rabbits

Thanks guys!!! That sounds very doable. I'm a little hesitant to travel with the water bottle attached to the carrier. Everytime I try to do that, they end up leaking and soaking the bedding, not to mention the animal inside. When we travel we always have a cooler with our drinks in it. I...

    Travelling With Rabbits

Hey all! I know a lot of you travel or have travelled with your rabbits. In a month or so, my family and pets (including CiCi the diva) will be driving for 2 days to our new home in Iowa. The farthest I have travelled with bunny in tow was 4 hours from Ft. Rily KS to the same place in Iowa...

Test Tube Meat Nears Dinner Table

Can't say its that bad of a deal... I mean, it would help bring meat prices down and if enough people turned to this "lab meat" it would likely make a lot of the large meat factories (eh... at a loss for the proper term ;) ) go out of business, saving the animals they slaughter, because, well...

    I'm Moving

Hey all! I know I haven't been around on the forum for too long (or that active, but let me explain ;) ) but I wanted to let you all know I will be moving rather soon. I just found out Sunday. Now, for the past 4-5 months my mom has been talking about moving. But with my dad overseas, neither...

    Story of cat

Aww. I'm sure he'd be just fine in a new home once he got adjusted. It could take a bit, but eventually he'd be just comfortable with a new family. He adjusted to G just fine, I'm sure he can adjust again... Only thing is, the new people who get him might not understand what is going on, so you...

Does anyone have a golden retriever & flemish?

Well... I've never had a Flemish or a Golden retriever (although I dog-sit a pair). But, when Harley (dutch) was still with us, he helped "train" two of our Rotts to be tolerant of small animals. Jada and Gertie BOTH played with Harley when they were puppies. And I do mean play, not...

    PIN: Attn: RO Members!!!

Yay!! Congrats!! I'd like to thank Pam especially for answering a lot of my questions and being patient with me! :) Angela, I read your posts, and you are such a funny lady! :D You both are really appreciated around here! Thanks for all you do for the forum, for us, and for our bunns!

    Show Listings

Ah, okey dokey then. :D Thanks for the information! Hopefully she gets back to me sometime, even if the show is a month and some days away.

    Show Listings

Gah! Here I am, looking for shows to go to, like I'm supposed to. I found one in August, I plan on attending. That is if I can get any information about it! I mean goodness I don't understand show lingo yet. Open, double open, youth. Bah can't you just tell me where its at, when it starts, what...

Hmm... I always provided half and half, just in case the wire hurt their feet any. Interesting...

Starting to Show, Possibly Founding a Rabbitry

Oh, ok! I thought that would be the norm, and certainly what I would do. I think what I plan on doing is having a few breeders, say, 3-4, then quality kits are kept for showing/future breeders. Remaining kits are rehomed, and if any "special" ones come my way that aren't up to showing par, they...

Starting to Show, Possibly Founding a Rabbitry

Oho, I see! So its just a skewed figure, I get it. These tumors can be removed relatively easily, or is it something where once the doe gets one, she's likely to have to get spayed to prevent future ones? Then what, she's retired and rehomed to a pet home? That would make more sense, yes.

Starting to Show, Possibly Founding a Rabbitry

Thank you for all the advice, Julia! Any input on this is great, I really want to do this right. I will be sure to talk to every person I can, for as long as I can be tolerated, LOL. I don't think I will be purchasing any rabbits right away, although I am discussing it with my mother more in...

What Other Animals Do You Own Besides Rabbits?

Aww, she sounds great! I love when they are hyper babies, LOL. They're so kissy at that age! :DChad is my only blue, and he's a berk too. Not sure what sort of blue or if he's actually a Russian silver, so I just say blue. ;):D

    Gimli and Niobe's photo thread

Ohh dear. :( He sounds like a resilient little man. Good wishes his way! And Ms. Malange is STUNNING. WOW. *drools*

    Runts

Ohhh she is gorgeous, and so small! She looks full of personality, too. Thats the thing about breeding that makes me sit back and wonder if its something I want to do... To contend with runts and peanuts. I know for certain I couldn't cull any babies, but is it better to let them live in...

The Dead Bunny Flop-Part 1(Now Closed)

Eek! If I saw a rabbit do something like in that 3rd pic, I'd freak out, LOL.

    thumping tantrums

Hehehee! They are touchy things, LOL. My neighbor's rabbit freaks out if the cat is not within eyesight of him... And then when the cat comes back, he thumps and throws a bunny tantrum to let the cat know he is annoyed, LOL.

The Dead Bunny Flop-Part 1(Now Closed)

Hehehee. She'll ride in your lap, but she prefers to stretch out completely. Its funny, when we took her into petsmart, my sisters had to sit in the very very back so CiCi could stretch out in the middle backseat, LOL.

The Dead Bunny Flop-Part 1(Now Closed)

LOL! CiCi does that all the time... But I can never get pics of her doing it, she's a light sleeper. :XHere is a pic of her on the first day we got her, let me remind you this was only her 3rd car ride. She LOVES road trips, and usually demands her own seat. :D
