Just a quick update, we took them for a car ride and to a friends house to try again and it went much better. We think that Topher felt that the room was his territory even though he had never actually been in there. So we're relieved to see that they are showing normal bonding progress. :)...

Sorry, I forgot to mention, we've kept them separate until the introduction and we've taken them to a room that neither of them have been before. We also tried the bath tub where neither of them have been.
