Advice on grooming mats out my rabbit's face

Poor Ava. Why did she have to have her eye removed? We had a guinea pig, Weasel, whose eye was infected from a molar tooth. Hope Ava gradually becomes willing to let you softly touch her face, soak off debris, and brish her.

Advice for a 5 year old lionhead?

When our poor Arnold couldnt walk suddenly, i got puppy pads from the pet store and hand towels from the dollar store. That way i could put him on towels with puppy pads on top and change them, to keep him clean and dry (as best i could). Sadly he died suddenly. Does the vet have any...

    Dutchess overgrown molars

Dutchess went to vet today. He lightly anesthetized her and rechecked all her molars then took skull xrays. He wants to find someone expert with rabbits to rule out root problems on the xrays. She has conjunctivitis (has had crusty eyes) so is getting antibiotic eye drops. She is not eating yet...

Do you sort through your hay?

Have begun ordering online from Rabbit Hole hay, because the hay seems fresher than from the pet and feedstore. Also, if it is too dry, they will send youa replacement if you let them know.

    Dutchess overgrown molars

Niomi, today i felt a hard bump under Dutchess’ eye, so i hope the vet will believe me. She had molar spurs removed, but i think a root may be causing her a problem. If he wont do an xray, there isanother exotics vet about 40 min away. Will try the pumpkin puree and have ordered Oxbow papaya...

    Dutchess overgrown molars

Dutchess had her back molars trimmed with anesthesia a week ago. Has taken several days of meds and pampering to start eating but still will only eat veggies and is not eating hay. All vets closed, GI stasis

Would call your vet and beg for meds until they can see your bunny, to keep her GI tract moving until you can get in. Like cisapride or Reglan.
