    True or False Game!!

They actually only lay one every day. It takes I think about 23-25ish hours for an egg to form inside so however many chickens you have will be how many eggs you'll get a day give or take. Not sure but I'm assuming true as it's in the name?🤷 It's summer in New Zealand.

    This or That? (game)

Onions. I do like spicy food but the taste of a hot sauce is not nice.🤢 Cold or hot weather?

    Keeping the cats away

We have netting over our chicken coop to keep the chooks in and cats out which works well. I lock my buns up at night to keep them extra safe and warm but my big Flemish girl is in an uncovered run through the day and I don't feel worried about her and cats as I think the poor cat would be the...

We had a fright this morning!!!

Same thing happened to me once! Bunny was flopped and it looked different to her usual flop so I stared at her for a few seconds and it didn't look like she was breathing at all. I started to freak out and went to poke her which normally sends her up and running but she stayed put. I then stared...

Hi there! New Member here in need of a little help

Awww! She is so cute! Yes, so her ears being red is normal, but do keep an eye out for her being too overheated. If she starts to show signs of overheating then you will need to put in measures to cool her down so she doesn't go into heat stroke as that can be an emergency. But if you provide...

    Mucous/foamy poos.

Okay thanks. I checked on her again and she is still eating, binkying, drinking, kissing, and she did a bunch of poops that look normalish. They weren't all uniform but I don't think they had any mucous in them and no more foamy-ness yet. I will talk to my parents and think about taking her to...

    Mucous/foamy poos.

Also should I keep giving her pellets to encourage her eating or keep her off those and encourage more hay? She eats a decent amount of hay but does love her pellets.

    Mucous/foamy poos.

Oh dear. That doesn't sound good. It is almost 6:00pm now so do you think she can wait for tomorrow for the vet? None of those vets were in the city I'm in so I'll Google around and hopefully find a rabbit savvy one. She is not spayed so could she have a uterine infection do you think? The foamy...

    Mucous/foamy poos.

This morning I noticed my Flemish Giant Alice had weird looking poos. There were some that had thick, brown-clear mucous like jelly stuff in it (I think from last night) and then she did a 'poo' that was white and foamy as I was next to her this morning. I tried looking it up on Google and here...

Poor baby! S/he looks such a mess and so sad! I can't really help with anything but I hope s/he will warm up to you soon and be able to find comfort in you.❤️

Get to know each other game!

False. I love love love summer and being able to go outside without having to bundle up. We are only just through the first month of winter here in NZ and I am already sick of being constantly cold. It does snow in NZ but not exactly where I am so there is no fun from winter either.😆 TPBM lives...

Get to know each other game!

True. She is a shaggy rescue mutt that we all love to bits. TPBM has a small house.

    This or That? (game)

It depends, these past couple of years we have been really tight on money and I now know the importance of reducing quality to maintain some quantity (food, clothes, etc.). Sometimes you don't need quailty everything but just gotta get what your given. But there are definitely instances where...

How some people can live without any pets! Thankfully I have been able to grow up with animals and I cannot imagine life without them. TPBM has an animal loving parent/s.

    Fostering

I hope that Lady-Locks gets better soon and nothing more serious is happening.😬 They are both so cute and it sounds like it is a bit of a hassle trying to look after them but it sounds like you are doing an amazing job! I hope you can stay sane!😆

Rabbits being culled at Vancouver airport

Yeah, the stupid New Zealand government also recently re-released calicivirus or RHVD in an area near to me.☹️ I love wild buns but they are a big problem here and if they have to die then it is best that they get shot quickly instead of a painful and slow death like what's happening here. I...

Hi there! New Member here in need of a little help

    1. Not sure what breed she is but she is very cute!😍 It may help other people to try and guess of you tell us what weight she is. 2. I can't really help you on the litter training thing sorry. 3. That biting thing she does is tooth grinding and rabbits do it when they are happy. It's sort of...

My rabbit has red eyelids and he isn't eating

I'm not an expert but it does sound like you should get him to a vet ASAP. Is his eye infection being treated by a vet? If he isn't eating then it might be GI Statis and maybe he is in pain which is causing him to not want to eat. You may have to try syringe feeding him some of his pellets...

Get to know each other game!

I'm shocked!😂 It never occurred to me that Father's Day wasn't on the same days around the world. We have Father's Day in October here in New Zealand. When's Mother's Day for you? Thankfully not! But when I was little we went to Vanuatu and the mozzies there were horrendous! So I feel your...
