Yea it depends, is it a x-pen or a cage? My rabbit got out too last night from her x-pen Bc I didn't secure it properly.

Sounds like you have 2 different problems on your hands now. Dislocated knee and possibly beginning stages of GI stasis. As you know the GI stasis takes priority and should be addressed asap, even by your old vet. As far as the dislocated knee... I don't know much about it. But I would listen...

I hope everything is ok. You can always tell your vet (and even your own doctor for that matter) that you will think about it and go home and do your own research and get a second opinion. It sounds like your gut was right. It's ok, sometimes this happens and it's a good learning experience...

I'm preparing to adopt a second bun. I know it's going to take time to bond them and I have time but... Those that have bonded pairs do you have 2 litter boxes in their pens? 2 hidey houses? I'm trying to prepare for what I need and what this x-pen will look like and function like with 2 buns...

Thanks. She's doing better. Eating hay and kale and drinking water. Poop looks better but not perfect.

So it's been about an hour. She is eating a little hay. She still grinds her teeth every once in a while. She seems to be doing well.
