Sussed how to solve rabbit dominance problem

Oh by morning pets I just mean the side pets she's fine with (she's never upset with those, actually happy to see me). It's the full on head pets that she hates in the hutch only. So I'm only going to full on stroke her outside hutch. I totally agree with what your saying.

Sussed how to solve rabbit dominance problem

just realised the hutch thing explains another weird occurance. She is perfectly fine with pets on her side and back in both settings. But will not allow pets on her head and near her head (shoulder sides) in the hutch. but will allow head pets outside hutch. after all which buns hate head...

Sussed how to solve rabbit dominance problem

Morning pets are a must with my buns. When I have weird work rotas it means I don't get to take them out as often as i'd like. It's just a way of saying "hi" and with Amber (my snuggle bun) it's her life line. But this one isn't Amber, a little few pets before food will be continued...

Sussed how to solve rabbit dominance problem

Hi, So people who have read about my last post know my mini rex juno is biting. We all know if dominance as she's at that nearly 5 months mark. You also know I live with parents who have policed my pet keeping: stopping me spaying. This will unfortunately NOT change- I've tried for years...

    Christmas buns

Hi, here's some images of my bunnies from this Christmas and last years. I also made a headband out of pipe cleaners and twigs. Was originally for Himilayan coloured bun so looks weird on non white buns. All in front of my Nan's Christmas tree. You may see these photos on my tumblr aswell. My...

    Trying new "discipline" success

Hi, I'd like to say I am now no longer pushing Juno's head down when she bites. I am now just sternly saying no. This was due to her fearing my hand near her head. This was @Preitler idea. I am glad to say that it's working, she's happy with my hand again. I saw her laying in her bedding area...

    Stopping biting

So far I have telling the rabbit firmly. I might couple that with a foot stomp.

    Stopping biting

I've tried to tell them the benefits and health risks. they are of the old thinking of not paying a lot for things. That pets are not worth too much money, especially not rabbits (lower pet idea). They also believe it would be a myth due to them keeping rabbits and being fine. it's a...

    Stopping biting

I've already told them this, the excuse is they have kept rabbita before and never got this.

    Stopping biting

Unfortunately parents are stopping me, I can't do it regardless of the benefits.

    Stopping biting

Hi, Bit of context- I finally after many tries got a rex rabbit again. Was allowed to take a taxi for the first time. This took me outside of a 20 mile radius and an expensive round trip later led to my mini rex! She is a generally nervy bun. She has settled amazingly with me (unfortunately...

    Friendly bunny turned attention biter

Hi, Bit of back story- I live with my parents and can only do the best I can. The rabbits are not allowed inside (in future, an annex will allow housebunnies) and therefore I have given them best Hutches I can find. I have asked many times but to no avail - I'm not allow to spay (unless for...

    Brachycephalic explosion?

I own a nethie, mini lop and dutch. I've been terrified that I was doing the wrong thing. But I've had 3 nethie and a lop and lop cross. Never had an issue with teeth. Just check the teeth before you buy them I think. I'm absolutely furious. I saw an image of a lop superimposed on a natural...

    Brachycephalic explosion?

Hi, So I swear "normal" rabbit breeds used to be popular back in the day. But now it all seems to be mini lops, Netherland Dwarf or Lionhead all the time. But I don't understand, These breeds are the unhealthiest and few people have time to groom a dog or cat, let alone a lionhead. They're...

    Stop Excessive clothes chewing?

I'm wearing the clothes when she's chewing them. She doesn't have access to other clothes.

    Stop Excessive clothes chewing?

Sounds like a plan. I can't not show her clothes though- I'm wearing the ones she chews lol.

    Stop Excessive clothes chewing?

Hi, I have a new mini lop and am quite used to the occasional clothes nibble (This is my 11th bun) But this rabbit goes to the extreme, she has obliterated three t-shirts already. She's got a gnawing multi block thing on a chain that she chews daily and she's not really bored either. Her...

    Mini lop or holland lop?

Hi, So I talked to the owner of the parents and she said that the breeder said they were dwarf lops. And that she thought they were the same as mini lops (yes, but only in america). But when I asked the size of her largest she said "3 lb". This is the size of the ideal mini lop (Holland lop in...
