    Hay mites?

No matter where you buy hay, its from a field. A field that probably houses rabbits/cats/foxes/cockroaches (even in the UK!)/mice/rats/mites/fleas/lice etc. Hay mites are also known as 'Granary Mites' or 'Flour Mites', they usually infest pantrys and cupboard that have oats/bran/cereals in them...

    Ops I did it again!

Blaze_Amita wrote: They do. :) Unfortunately the main breeding to get a harlequin nethie is Harlequin dutch x REW/BEW nethie, so they are losing type, but a lot of breeders have done very well in bringing the Harlie nethies back into true form. :)

Oooh CJ loves flavoured water, and if I suspect he is going into stasis I put a grated carrot in a 1L bottle, fill the rest up with water, give it a good shake about then give it to him to get him rehydrated properly. :)

    Rabbit-safe flooring?

How about vetbed? it wicks away urine, its clothes washer-safe and lasts ages if cleaned properly. It also doesn't hurt if the rabbits ingest any of the fibers.

Flick wrote: Just because something doesn't meet nutritional needs, doesn't mean it is dangerously unhealthy. Lettuce for example - lettuce is a great food, but it doesn't meet all nutrtional needs, does that make is dangerously unhealthy? eh, nope! What I mean is, if you feed the pellets, they...

LM Animal Farms Pellets ™ (Hartz®)

Flick wrote: No, not really. BUT they aren't nutritional. Nor would they meet nutritional needs, then again, neither would alot of rabbit pellets considered to be 'complete' by a lot of people. A lot of "good" pellets also contain the listed ingredients, but quite a few people on here would buy...

No rabbit, parents are changing their minds.

IMO somebody who chooses tv over being with and caring for their rabbits should not have rabbits full stop.

    Blackberry leaves?

BSAR wrote: Yup. They give off plenty of calcium, keep a steady flow of milk (ie. if the kits aren't taking as much, it helps the mum adjust and slow down milk production) and helps the kits gut flora. :)
