Please help, emergency! - Rabbit has diarrhea

I'm sorry if this is a silly question but, how do you know if your rabbit has gas? He's in the room with me and pretty quiet. I keep worrying everytime he is sleeping that he isn't okay? He had dental surgery last thursday and recovered like a charm but has tiny poops today after 3 days of great...

Is tap water truly safe for rabbits? What type of water does your bunnies drink?

We are in the country on well water. We have extremely hard/mineral water. I was told to mix it 50:50 with distilled. I was also told never to give 100% distilled water for drinking as it leaches minerals out of the tabbits intestines? This was sdvice from a rabbit savy vet. I should add, our...

Rabbit living a hay free life

When we first brought Alf home he had such a varied diet, including, if you can imagine a tsp of cheerios cereal with tiny chopped up fruit and almond milk for breakfast! My parrot had the same. Alf had free choice Timothy hay or another grass hay and free choice pellets! He weighed 1400...

    Critical care vs Sherwood SAR-ex

He's stopped eating hay, which is what I was afraid of. He ate double the amount of hus usual pellets today, no hay go speak of and two syringes of CC. I'm happy to see him eating and want to get his weight up if he needs a dental procedure next week. Thanks. Then we'll worry about getting him...

    URGENT

Others will offer better advice but I would say make a slurry or mash from uour pellets and syringe feed him to get his water intake and keep his gi tracg moving. Do this until you can get to a vet. Good luck.

    Critical care vs Sherwood SAR-ex

Your replies have been so supportive, thamks. Can I just ask do you have to syringe feed or will she eat it mixed up in a dish? Also does she have pellets free choice? I' m afraid Alfie will stop eating hay, and he is still losing weight. I have an appointment next week to see about getting his...

Thanks for your reply. I'm worried about him not eating hay if he's being fed CC?

    Greetings from Clonmel Farm

Hi. This is my rescued bunny "Alfie". He is 1 1/2 year old neutered male dwarf. I've been told he is a lionhead x angora. He has a very thick double coat and red eyes. We had another rescue rabbit a couple of years ago but she had to be euthanised when she developed ecuniculi infection. We...
