Dogs and rabbits? A few questions

I’m not an expert but I would definitely say not a German Shepherd if introducing to the rabbit seeing how they’re huge, playful and very loud. While the German shepherd might be friendly (likely that it will be friendly to owners but not new people) it will probably be way too rough on the...

I’ve tried everything but our rabbit still doesn’t like me

I agree with Jbun but thought I’d give you a similar experience I had. I got a new bun 2 months ago now (who sadly already passed but I’ll get into that later). I remembered my other bunnies letting me pet them within the first few days although neither like to be held. I’ve always just got them...

My bunny died at 8 months 💔

I’m so sorry! I understand, I lost one a month ago 😢 and I was really guilty as well. I also don’t know why he died... On a side note, I thought there weren’t any rabbit approved vaccinations. There are? Also yes I would pick them up. I got a new bun a couple weeks after Auggie died and he has...

Can you introduce rabbits to cats?

Thanks! Do you think it will be the same for older cats? The one is lazy and the other is declawed and still lazy but will chirrup at birds. Good to know that they probably won’t get into each other’s food! I do use the pine pellet litter from tractor supply so I guess that works out. How would...

    When to start petting him?

So I haven’t been petting him because he doesn’t seem like he wants me to. But he did eat a bunch of pellets out of my hand and then lied down with his feet all the way behind him🥰. I didn’t get up to pet him though because last time I tried and he got up and hasn’t lied down again since today...

    When to start petting him?

Thanks everyone, I let him come to me but it seems he’s completely oblivious to me petting him. Oh well better than being scared. He climbs all over me and sits in my lap (not sure if it’s because he wants to eat my hair and phone or just because lol. Does anybody else’s rabbit try to eat your...

Can you introduce rabbits to cats?

I feel like I’ve been posting a lot here lately. But I suppose this forum is a thing for a reason... So I have been thinking about my bunnies quality of life. They all get about 1 hour outside their cage every day. They each have a big enough cage (each is a different size since, Belle’s being...

    Emergency! Rabbit drooling?

Quote, Tatahas: Her mouth is dry😑 I was worried about it being drool because the vet said that if she started drooling I should take her to him. And her poops are fine so I don’t think it’s Gl stasis. IMO, you should definitely bring her to the vet since the vet specifically mentioned that and...

    Emergency! Rabbit drooling?

Hmm that’s strange. It sounds like it could be drool but I’d think her mouth would be wet. Drooling is a sign of GI stasis so I would get her to the vet. I think you had a recent thread about your rabbit eating a poisonous plant. Maybe that could be why. But I’d get her to the vet ASAP.

    When to start petting him?

Hey everyone! I got a new bunny 6 days ago! His name is Tux and he’s a Dutch. A little bit of his background. He came from a 4H breeder. He was the smallest bunny of his litter and they were worried about him getting food but he was a little fighter. He’s about 11 weeks. The old owners held him...

Get to know each other game!

Yes I do everyday! I’m so glad we got him because he is the craziest thing ever. The first day we got him so 2 days ago, he wanted to come right out of his cage and ran around like crazy. The only thing is he doesn’t like to be pet yet but I won’t push it. He climbs all over me and lays down...

How much fruit should I feed my bunny

I agree with @Blue eyes and fruit should be a special treat. I personally don’t give fruit to them that often because they love other healthier food just as much. But it’s up to you on how often, as long as it’s no more than 1 tbsp per day!

    smaller and slightly shaped poop

I think it’s just a little hormone imbalance from the neuter. Their hormones are crazy for 2 months after their surgery. The only thing I can think of besides that is if you introduced a new food that his stomach disagrees with (but that would make the poops mushy and I don’t think your buns...

Teaching a rabbit to jump over obstacles?

Thanks @SableSteel , I’ll have to keep looking into it and if it doesn’t work out, a kitten h one would be fine (unless it’s not fine to use for a rabbit). @Niomi once she gets the hang of it, I’ll probably try doing it without a harness but as you said, at first she’ll need one. I’m probably...
