    Spaying question

She is eating more than carrot tops now. She’s had some pellets, more hay, radicchio and bok choy. She has also pooped. Therevare some small ones and they are a little misshapen but I am taking as a good sign. She is also digging in her litter box and moving her towels around her pen. She is...

    Spaying question

Ok. She is eating her hay and we have one poop. It’s a little oval shaped but at least it’s there. I never thought I’d be so happy to see a poop ball.

    Spaying question

I have made her hay available to her. Putting it in a small pile instead of her hanging bag, which I also have lowered by her litter box so she can access it easier. I do have the metacam which I have been told to give her every twelve hours. She is still just wanting the parsley and carrot...

    Spaying question

So far this morning she has eaten some parsley and carrot tops and a small carrot stick. She still won’t eat her other veggies or pellets but I keep trying every hour. The vet told me this morning if she didn’t poop by this afternoon to feed her a little critical care. She has produced six...

    Spaying question

I got her to eat some more carrot tops. She doesn’t want her pellets. She also ate a couple dried cranberries and I’ve been giving her water in a spoon. She was a little cold so I gave her the blanket she likes and she burrowed a little in it. The vet gave me some critical care to bring home so...

    Spaying question

I just got back from the vet with Oreo and everything went well. I am just curious if it is normal for her to want to lay around and not eat much? I got her to eat five carrot tops but nothing else in the past hour. Is this normal? I am a first time bunny owner and am a little concerned.

Just a quick question: spaying aftercare

My female rabbit is scheduled for spaying on October 11. Since I am no familiar with aftercare for a female rabbit what things should I consider before the surgery? I know she will have to be limited to her exercise but, do I need to make her pen smaller before she gets home or can it remain the...

    Just a quick question

I am aware that they are fruit. I was just curious because I have seen others posting about tomatoes. I didn’t want to try it without finding out first. I think I’ll stick to the blend of greens I have along with the radicchio and other herbs that I give her.

    Just a quick question

Can bunnies eat grape tomatoes? I am looking for ways to add veggies to Oreo’s diet and my husband suggested tomatoes. I know that the greens of tomatoes are dangerous and I am a little hesitant to feed tomatoes to her since they are part of the nightshade family. If they are safe do I need to...

    Help! Rex/holland lop mix :)

I now believe that my bunny may be a Holland lop and Rex mix. She is six months old and weighs 4 pounds. The vet did tell me she is t a Holland lop but a mix but she was not sure of the breed. Her ears have never lopped they have always been stuck in helicopter or airplane mode with the...

    A new noise

Have any of you ever heard your bunny make a buzzing noise? The other day at the vet Oreo thumped and then made a buzzing noise. I’ve heard her grunt, squeak, growl and honk but I’ve never heard this one before.

    favorite treats?

My bun loves fresh bananas. I have to hide and eat one or I get the glare from him. He also likes carrot. I haven’t tried Apple yet but, it is on the list. I have also read that they like dried tangerine.

    Finally got a new enclosure

I’ve tried all that and he prefers to dig in it but then uses the sheet. I’ve started lining his box with the sheet and using the litter on top. Starting out with a little litter so he can still see and feel the sheet. I figure I’ll add a little bit more litter each time until he is using all...

    Finally got a new enclosure

The only reason I was thinking of them is Oreo is trained and we rent an apartment so we are limited as to what we can do

    Finally got a new enclosure

I was also wondering if getting those interlocking floor pieces like you use for kids playroom floors would be a good choice for the floor of his enclosure.

    Finally got a new enclosure

My oldest son works at Lowe’s and is planning on getting a couple of tiles. One for inside the enclosure and one for outside. He has toys they are just all over the living room at the moment. I hadn’t thought about stacking cups but I will get some for him. He also has a stuffed monkey he plays...

    Finally got a new enclosure

He gets out to roam for the majority of the day. I just lock him in at night to keep the mischief at bay. His big blanket is in the washer right now and I plan on getting him a couple different textured rugs to put in there. We just got his pen put together last night and we plan on ordering...

    Finally got a new enclosure

We finally got Oreo’s new home. The only thing I have left to get is a proper litter box. For now he uses the cardboard box under his hay rack. I am currently washing his burrowing blanket as well as a few other blankets he likes. Instead of litter he likes doing his business on an old sheet so...

    Meet Oreo!

I believe he is a Holland Lop. I’ve been told by others that he is although his ears are completely loppy. He is spoiled is what he is.
