Pink sores on my bunnies feet

Maybe you don't need to since you think it's her long nails that has caused the sore hocks.

Pink sores on my bunnies feet

sorry I was midway editing the comment but my bun peed on my bed so had to clean 😭 6:14 is how she treats sore hocks, she also has a vid on how to trim nails - use a phone flashlight to see the nail kwik, wet paw fur to make it easier to seperate - I seem to get blinded by the light myself, not...

Pink sores on my bunnies feet

I saw 101Rabbits Youtube vids on how she prevents her buns from getting sore hocks - she layers the buns area with memory foam mats and if they do chew them, cover it with fleece. Edit: I just watched the vid again and she says carpet is quite abrasive on their foot!

    Legs gone worst

@Niomi no she's not on any inflammatory - just taking the EC Panacur and the Oxbow joint supplements (1/day) - she finds they're both yummy fortunately. I'll start giving her the Oxbow Digestive next month since I also purchased a pack. Anyone know if the Oxbow Multivitamins help with anything...

They said it's hard to test for EC but I think from memory, they said there were no strong results confirming that she has EC.

    Legs gone worst

I'm not sure what blood test was done, the whole point of the full body check up was to get to the bottom of her weak legs, so I'd like to think that's what it was for 😳?? not sure what any of that means haha

    Legs gone worst

@Diane R, yes she had full exam, blood test and all 2 days after I got her. Vet said they will get back to me and no need to take her in unless she stops eating. And yes, she seems better today, she's taking me on an emotional roller-coaster the past month with all these scares lol.. I started...

    Legs gone worst

She is such a good bunny (now that her hormones have calmed down lol). Don't know why her previous owner dumped her at the vet. She doesn't chew any houseplants, furniture, an NIC grid is enough to block her from going anywhere I don't want her to, she won't try to jump over it even though she...

New bunny isn't eating or drinking

Yes! agree with not needing hay all over the floor, get him into good litter habits young. If he is still somewhat eating then I think that's fine, seems like he's just scared. Belly massage while u pet anyway so he can get used to you touching there for future gas rubs.

    Legs gone worst

We're not sure if it is EC but orphanage owner suggested to put her on Panacur anyway, might as well get rid of it if she does have the parasite. As she was still jumping about and stomping up a storm in my house, orphanage thought she could have been born with a neurological disease but...

    Legs gone worst

Mariam! that was the old hay (provided by orphanage) that was leftover and peed on, I topped up her hay again. There is also fresh grass on the side but she's eaten most of it. The nuggets ingredients: Analytical Constituents Beneficial Fibre 39% • Crude Protein 13% • Crude Oils and Fats 4% •...

New bunny isn't eating or drinking

Also give your bun a belly massage incase he has gas: - my bun had this problem recently and didn't eat for 12hrs but did eat about 5 pellets. Could be he's new and afraid so doesn't trust you enough to eat, mine ate...

    Legs gone worst

Hi everyone :( My bun has been on EC meds for a week now and today her legs seem to have gotten worse, it's the worst I've seen it. Could it be because of the EC meds or that it's colder today? its only 1-3 degrees colder than yesterday at 8-17°C/46-62.6°F but raining all day which makes it...

    Alternatives to Kale

My friends bun (who is fussy as hell) seems to love kale, celery (loves the leaves) and loves Chinese broccoli - that's what she feeds them on a daily basis - she also has a herb garden of parsley and mint, which bun eats but not too thrilled about. Fortunately mine isn't as fussy now - but I...
