Rabbit litter box issues, sort of?

I'm sorry I just read a whole blog from a US citizen that Australian Kmarts are completely different in the US! We have a whole Kmart cult here coz they're so amazing haha. Fleece is relatively cheap, fabric stores.. omigoodness, I just saw Ikea sells same-ish size for $3AUD :OOOO!!!!!

Rabbit litter box issues, sort of?

Not sure what your Kmarts are like in the USA, but in Australia, they are fantastic for pets! I got all my fleece throw from Kmart: 1.27m x 1.52m for $4AUD ($2.50USD)

Should I have 3 small litter boxes or 1 big one?

101 rabbits suggested 1 for each. I'd say 1 big, 1 small just incase, I personally have 1 each for my rabbits coz the boy is a fatass with a gigantic head that blocks my girl from eating when she sits in her tray.

Rabbit litter box issues, sort of?

-Only put carefresh IN the litter tray, use fleece or a towel as bedding in the rest of the cage if you must. Carefresh is used as an absorbent/deodorizer/litter bedding and quite expensive to just scatter along the rest of the cage for soft bedding imo. -Pick up the poop straight away and put...

Do your rabbit have any habits you enjoy?

My disabled girl running after me when she hears the backdoor slide open - she likes it out there for fresh grass. Then following me when I come back in and call her after I washed the tub of grass. Can't let her freeroam out there coz she doesn't know what to do with herself with all that...

    Snacks stash suggestions

ahh right it's strawberry/berry season in Australia atm. I would love to get freeze dried fruits but find they are alot more expensive than fresh.

Sore hocks are getting worse 😓

101 Rabbits has some videos on sore hocks she uses memory foam mats for soft padding, my buns don't have sore hocks but I bought some memory foam bath mats for them and they absolutely love it - my girl who is disabled loves it so much and does her binkys on it, I am buying a few more. I...

    Getting 2nd bun

Your girl sounds like a dominate type. Hopefully the boy you get will be a submissive bun :/ it's too hard to tell unless he is neutered. My girl was easy to bond with any bun coz she's so timid, the boy never was aggressive to her, just lots of humping - I didn't even need to do any bonding...

Frustrated Bunny owner ready to give up!

I got a 2 year old boy few months ago who was freshly neutered. When I took him home it took so long for ME to bond with him, I even contemplated returning him, mine wasn't as destructive as yours however he was CraZY!!!! he flew across the living room bouncing off the couches to the other...

Petsafe wipes - Curash Water wipes - 99% water

Are these safe for my buns? Curash Water Wipes 3x80pk | Woolworths Water, Polysorbate 20, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol My girl is disabled and it would be great if I can use these to spot clean her feet and bum instead of giving her bum baths every now and then.

    Grips for a slippery surface

Ikea has really cheap memory foam bath mats, you can cut and shape them, hopefully your buns don't eat them though, they are the most comfortable and natural on a buns feet. my buns love their memory foam mat, I usually cover it with towel and fleece, coz their fur sticks on it like crazy! (easy...

Litter box retraining after being bonded.

My buns did not do well being confined in a small space together, it was the closest I ever seen them to "fighting" so I separated them in the morning (they were together 8hrs at night). Weird, it seems they only start circling/humping each other when I'm in the room.

Litter box retraining after being bonded.

I actually have and they most likely have said no, coz they didn’t make me take one home with me on that visit or when I got the results. the panacur first round didn’t really do much to her first round anyway.

Litter box retraining after being bonded.

I’m not sure, it wasn’t detectable, but the orphanage suggested I put her on it just incase. they also tested her for kidney disease and arthritis but all came back negative.

Litter box retraining after being bonded.

She had a round (28 days) of EC treatment soon after I got her in March. When I took her to the vet couple of weeks ago, they did a full blood/urine test and she was fine.
