My rabbit is chewing holes in her pee pad?

also if she isn't spayed digging is a common behaviour, if she isn't spayed perhaps consider booking her in for the surgery soon

My rabbit is chewing holes in her pee pad?

If your bun is chewing the pee pads I would stop using them as it can damage their digestive system, if you wanted to use something to line your litter area you could use something like a brown paper bag, or newspapers (but the inks might leak if it gets too wet) and then use wood-stove pellets...

Bonding reboot, can experienced bonder offer advise?

Theres a great video below which should help, but can I ask if both of your buns are males? Often male to male bonding can be harder than a male-female bonding process and males are often dominating rather than submissive, then it becomes a sort of 'fight' over who is the alpha male 101 rabbits-

    Bonding advice

I'm so sorry for your loss :( I would definitely spay her before introducing them both together, because it can prevent any unnecessary territorial behaviours... If you want them to get used to each other without them meeting directly you could try switching litter-boxes or toys so they...

A tick fell in my bunny's ear!

Take your bun to the vet immediately, your bun could experience fatal symptoms of the tick potentially carrying diseases, your vet will advise you on what to do, (I'm sorry I sound so serious, I've heard of buns that had head tilt and other serious side effects of ticks)

Is it safe for buns to play outside?

Hey, I've seen some varied advice on allowing buns to play outside, some of which were very negative and even called it 'abusive' to allow rabbits to play outside in a run or on a harness, my bun used to be an outdoor bun but since we got her she hasn't been outside, she is a very curious bun...

    Senior Rabbit Care

I haven't had an experience like that, but maybe if you are interested in feeding your bun hay you could feed a softer hay like orchard grass or maybe small handfuls of alfafa? If you are feeding your bun 3-4 times a day I would recommend checking the amount you are feeding against his/her...

    Opinions on closed litter boxes?

Thanks for you suggestions! I had a look online and found one similar to the photo, would the one below be okay? (It has high sides and is open at the top so is probably more hygienic)

    Opinions on closed litter boxes?

    Opinions on closed litter boxes?

Hey guys, I was looking into getting my bun a hooded litter box (like one that a cat uses) from what I've read it is also very helpful as it has high sides and stops poo and hay being flung out of the litter box which is what happens to me now and it is a pain to pick up everyday (i use an...

Shall I get my bunny a friend?

hey i'm also looking for a companion for my bun and you'd be surprised how many young buns there are in the shelters! Although they aren't 'baby' buns they are around 6 months plus, which is probably ideas for you, and they also have some slightly older ones that are already neutered and litter...

Planning to bond bun in future... help!

she was meant to get spayed last month but all of our local vets are only doing emergency consultations and surgeries so they suggested we call every week to check for any changes, Bambi is now 9 months old and her partner was neutered whilst they were together, the only reason that she wasn't...

Planning to bond bun in future... help!

Hey guys, I don't have much experience bonding buns as our buns were already bonded, but unfortunately one of them passed away and now our female is alone, we are planning to adopt a male bun in the next few months and have our eyes on a few options, but I'm not sure if our bun will get...

Why is bun chewing on her hutch?

Hey guys, my bun keeps chewing on her hutch, it is indoor, and it extremely large, (6ft by 5 ft) and she isn't locked up in it either she is completely free roam in her room with the hutch in it, she has plenty of toys like willow balls, chew toys, and unlimited of small pet select timothy hay...

    Bonded bunnies acting strange

Maybe your male nipped her or something like that and since then she is scared of him, don’t worry though it’s normal for buns to fall out so I would recommend separating them and then starting the bonding process all over again but it won’t take as long as they were previously bonded, I know it...

How to help a bun lose a bit of weight?

Hey, my bun bun is a little bit on the chunky side, and I'm trying to help her lose a bit of weight, I feed her 2 teaspoons of pellets in the morning and then a cup of veggies in the afternoon, I'm trying to do some trick training with her to help her be a bit more active. She also gets...
