    GI stasis

Do you feed her greens like leafy green lettuce, and maybe a little bit of celery, those things add moisture to her diet and keep her hydrated. If you doesn't like hay you could try feeding her grass which is much like hay because it has lots of fiber and good for her digestive system.

    Correct dosage of metoclopramide?

Last time my rabbit had it, it was prescribed .5mg/kg twice a day. So I guess that was a little less then the media rabbit dose. Rabbit recovered though.

    UTI and messy bum

If its a UTI the antibiotic might not be working. It might help to read this. http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/urinary.html If you are in the UK where EC (E.cuniculi) is really common and your rabbit has never been treated for that, its another thing that could cause kidney problems.

    Surprise kits!!

Also, I don't know how much you already know about rabbits but the mother doesn't sit in the nest with them like cats or dogs because in the wild they leave the burrow and hide away from the nest to lure away preditors. They only feed the babies one to two times a day, for 2-5 minutes and then...

    Surprise kits!!

Usually the mother pulls fur from her own tummy to line the nest, but people say if they don't you should pull fur from their tummy to stimulate milk production and line the nest. Some of the babies look dead, If any of them are cold/nearly dead it would be good to separate from the lively ones...

    Euthanasia

Thank you Missycove, I'm so worried my vet doesn't know what he is doing and knowing this makes me feel better.

Leg Abscess - the healing process

I just read through this whole thread and am so sorry for you and your bunny. I only have a few small bits of advice. One is that if he is not eating well you should also monitor water intake because if he might also be dehydrated and not drinking water will cause him to not want food. So if you...

Female rabbit not fixed, not pregnant, tight abdomen?

I think if she is an adult and overweight you probably should cut the pellets way back over the course of several days, and feed more timothy hay, regardless, until she loses some weight. I would probably still feed the greens unless they are high in sugar or protein, am thinking they probably...

    Euthanasia

I discussed having one of my rabbits PTS with my vet and she said she does it by giving an injection into the heart because the veins are too small in rabbits to do in any other way. I read somewhere that injection to the heart was out dated and it is not done that way anymore because its...

    Excessive snorting

My best advise is search high and low until you find an expert rabbit vet, if you have to drive out of town to go to one it pays in the long run. They are much better at diagnosing and treating with the proper medications. I had a rabbit with a squeaky nose that I just thought was a normal noise...

    Urine scald

I just read through these posts and thought I would comment quickly on the oxalates. I do think maybe you should be careful about some of the veg you feed, the kale and parsley would be high in oxalates. Maybe cut down on those and feed more romaine. Also, if you can't easily feel your bunnies...

Thought I would share this here, very cute song some light hearted swearing in it so may not be appropriate for small children. Shhhh... Bunnies are Sleeping! Its not their fault you think you live here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6j_YXLOWXY&feature=share

    Pasteurellosis

When one of my rabbits had an upper respiratory infection and was sneezing white snot, really bad, I took him to my local dog/cat vet and he tried Baytril which is one of the older antibiotics that is licensed for use in rabbits, its known to be safe but often doesn't work (people think a lot...

    Pasteurellosis

I can see that you are in Greece. The most important thing is to find a really excellent rabbit vet. If there are any rabbit forums or Facebook pages with rabbit clubs in Greece you should post on there to try to find a rabbit savvy vet. Regular vets that treat cats and dogs often are not very...

    Tips for a chubby bunny?

I agree with others and think its the oaten hay seed heads that are probably to fattening for him because everything else you mentioned doesn't sound that fattening.

    Deaf Bunny?

I figured out that one of my rabbits was deaf because I noticed when i put him outside in a big pen with my other rabbits, he was the only one that did not run and hide when the lawn mower man came- so I think you might be right if your rabbit doesn't show fear or startle at loud noises he just...

    Peeling skin?

I'm not sure what you mean by peeling skin? Do you mean it is loose or is the skin flakey, or is there a cut or scratch? With runts you can try to "flip the doe" put the doe on your lap and try to let the baby suckle. But CAUTION if you do flip your doe do it sitting on the floor and have...
