    Will lavender/chamomile calm rabbits?

Not sure if you are replying to me or the OP. The bach remedies are a tincture made from an alcohol or a glycerin base. Over the counter they can be marketed to pets or kids in a slightly different base, likely glycerin. I would only suggest something like this if a pet is stressed and to try...

    Will lavender/chamomile calm rabbits?

It should. I have used bach remedies which is made from flowers. You put a few drops on their nose and they lick it off. You could make the tea and add it to water.

    Flemish rabbit litter pan idea

We bought this but just in a smaller version. It was only 1/2 inch deeper than what she had but wider and longer. We are hopeful it will work. For $6 it is very heavy duty.

How much of a vet fund should I set up?

Do you have a "normal" emergency fund? Life has a variety of emergencies from car, house, health and pet. If you have a normal fund maybe you could add to it and maybe earmark a certain amount for vet emergencies. I would say $1500-3000 would be a good amount to set aside for a pet for...

    New member, cleaning bottom help!

It is easy to worry and wonder if you are doing the right thing. You are taking excellent care of Beatrix. Have you had other pets before? I mainly had cats until 2 years ago. They both went outdoors and I worried (and checked) for fleas, ticks and worms. I had 2 cats for approximately 18 years...

I am a first time rabbit mom. I do think some staining is normal. It sounds like you are being very proactive so you can take your rabbit to see your mom. In my opinion you could just change the litter once or twice a day. Wash her area maybe once a week if she isn't getting clean enough. My...

That is how deep our litter pan is now. She is about 10 or 11lbs now and will grow to 14-18lbs.

    Flemish rabbit litter pan idea

I have searched online and in forums. Somewhere a heavy duty pan that is used for possibly mixing a material for construction was suggested as a great deep litter pan for larger rabbits. Since we brought Lucy home we have changed litterpans 4 times because she was too big and urinating off the...

    Any other pets? :)

Wow!!! How much do you spend on pet food and supplies? The St. Bernard must eat a lot:) sounds like a fun household. I would like to have more pets. We might rent soonish for a year while the house sells and move out of state in a year or so...to buy hopefully. Who knows....maybe more someday.

    Escape Artist

It scares me when I cannot find her inside. She has by chance figured out how to open her crate. I would be so scared to have a rabbit in the chimney vent! I get scared of Lucy sneaking outside. My kids sometimes leave the door open, especially if they're just coming into grab something. I...

How do you handle drunk people in public?

There are plenty of people on drugs legal or illegal, drunk or have mental health issues. Sometimes dealing with them...keeping yourself safe and keeping an eye on them is a chore.
