    Daisy and Honey ♡︎

Sorry they probably aren't Netherlands dwarfs, their ears just have the short look of one. It might be the angle of photos

    Bella's babies

Here are Bella's babies at nearly 5 weeks (I took the photos last week on Tuesday). They will be off to new homes in a few weeks, I will miss them terribly. I have a couple of people asking me for them, and who are going to provide very kind homes with plenty of room for running. I'm keeping...

Baby bunny with skin issues! help!

yep some babies can be worrying sometimes. My friends rabbit had a kit and its fur grew strange, but when it got to about 3 weeks, its fur turned out the same as the others. I'm glad the kit is doing well

I wish to identify the breed of this young rabbit

I think it might have some English spotted in it.

    cecotrophs

they aren't mushy, there have just been excess a couple of times. She has stopped nursing from what I can tell, and she was being fed some fresh alfalfa, but I have changed her from that to hay, as she isn't nursing. I am guessing it might just be the rolled oats, so I'll definitely cut down...

    cecotrophs

does anyone know if rolled oats would cause an excess of cecotropes. I give Bella a teaspoon of them not every day, but every alternative day after her babies were born, as she seemed like she was losing a bit of weight. She is back to her usual self and the rolled oats helped her gain her...

    Do Bunnies Think?

Ha I'm sure Bunnies do think, Bella seems to think too much and figure stuff out, one of her babies is exactly the same (always the first to figure it out).

    Bella's 3 week Kits

they are definitely more hippity-hoppity now, and now I'm having to provide more food for Bella and the babies, as they have started nibbling. They definitely annoy Bella, as they come out of their box and try and get under her and feed, and she hops around the place to escape them, her only...

    New at bonding

sometimes having them on either side of a fence in their own enclosure works fine for bonding, where they can see and smell the other. I have done that with my rabbits, (having their pens right beside each other), it took about a month or 2 and then I would put one in with the other for a...

    Bella's 3 week Kits

Here they are Bella's 3 week old kits. I couldn't get a photo of the 5th and last kit as it was very wiggly that morning. The photo of the single kit in 1st left-hand photo is one of the kits in the middle photo. I just took it to show the coloration better

Is this a ‘binky’ or is something wrong ?

yep, that looks like a binky. Sometimes they do shake their head. Its almost like their whole body is exited from the tip of their nose to their toes. My Bunny sometimes shakes her head, and sometimes she doesn't. I don't know if anyone else can see anything wrong, but as far as I can see...

    Kit colours

Thank you so much. It's nice to know the proper colour names. In that case, I think Bella must be a black tort Thank you very much

    First Batch of babies

and I definitely agree with JBun, "If in doubt don't even try it", because all Bunnies react differently. I have never had a problem with Bon (the dad) hurting any of his offspring, but I will never let him near mum or the babies before 2 or 3 months, (I never put him near the female babies)...
