New member + breeding colors for Dutch rabbit question!

I would try breeding her to a black Dutch because the black gene B can often carry the b gene which is the brown or chocolate color. The black gene is also the base gene for a lot of the darker colors, so you might get more success from a black Dutch.

THE DANGERS OF CATS WITH RABBITS! PLEASE EVERYONE READ BASIL'S STORY!!!!!

That is sad, we Have our cats near our Rabbits, but we always have their fencing between them and a cover over our rabbits. I'm just not ever brave enough to let my cats and rabbits mingle. I'm glad you shared your story with us, it gives the rest of us food for thought

    Kit color?

yep the first photo on the bottom left is a broken tricolor, your next kit along by the tricolor at the bottom look like it might be an opal. I'm pretty sure it's an opal, and the other broken kit in the top line looks like a broken opal or blue.

    Bunnies fought and now injured

have you got any willow trees around, if you do, gather some leaves and twig or two, and feed them to them, they are good for rabbits and provide pain relief, known as aspirin if either of them is sore, also they can calm them down, they are fantastic health food for rabbits, and I would say...

    Handling kits

i suppose it always depends on the does temperament, but I find even a nervous doe will calm down if u give her a treat away from the nest, that way you can quickly check for full bellies and that they are warm. the checking only needs to be a couple of minutes, and I handle the babies the day...

    exercise wheel

the way a rabbit hops and the way the spine has to flex, it almost seems like they need something in the shape of a treadmill that they work themselves, rather than the shape of a weel.

    Bunny Shedding Tufts

Yea my brother has a rabbit that is having fur issues similar to the ones in the photos, her fur looks exactly the same, I checked for mites, and even rubbed some oil into her bald patches just incase it was mites, but no couldn't find any, so we concluded it was just alot of fur loss, and my...

Yep I used a different Buck this time, just to get the different genes coming through. The 1st Buck I used was my Brothers breeding buck he uses for his does, and i know the 1st Buck is a good healthy breeding buck. The 2nd buck is my Brothers new buck he has just started using, so we have yet...

Why is my bunny's chin losing hair and has skin bumps that are red?

Oh poor Buns, I agree with Mileybun, to get another opinion from a second vet. just an idea, but you could wipe under their chins with a slightly damp cloth a couple of times throughout the day, maybe in the morning, and then at night, or if you have time, in between as well. It may be they...

I think Bella will be alright, I came to her today, and she started doing zoomies when she saw me and then I fed her and she gobbled as fast as she could. So I think she is doing fine

I'll deffinately get more veggies with Vit A and try and balance out these vitamins better. She hasn't touched her pellets much all day, but she is still eating her grass, so i'm happy with that, as long as she is still eating and her appetite stays. I'll keep an eye on her
