Love the pelleted wood. I use horse bedding ($8 for a 40 lb. bag) but my bunny is prone to sore hocks so I like to cover the pellets with a layer of carefresh just to soften the experience.

What about like a think layer of memory foam mat under the rug? I’m gonna try that. For litter, I use woodstove pellets but I mix them with water first so they get soft.
