    Which would you buy

For a small bunny, the long one, for others the square one. I've seen rabbits run laps in their cages and for larger breeds it's easier for them to make the wider turn at a quicker pace.

    Advice Bonding Rabbits

If you have a local rabbit rescue, call and ask them if they have vets who spay older rabbits or what they suggest on that front. I'm not suggesting you do it against your own or the vets better judgment, but may as well get all the local info you can. I hope your two make good friends!

    THUMPING????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like puberty to me. Does get all kinds of cranky when they aren't pregnant and Springtime makes it that much worse. A few weeks after her surgery hopefully she'll be back to normal.

    Baby Bunnies

I'm not sure what you mean by you having to help her feed them. Are you saying that she doesn't go into the nest box to nurse them twice a day? Rabbits don't hang out with their kits the way cats and dogs do. They power nurse a couple times a day and don't spend much time in the nestbox. The...

    Bunny won't eat hay

The only other thing I can think of is to put the hay someplace where he has to chew and tear through it to get so someplace he likes to be. Like stuff his favorite cubby hole with it and he has to remove it. Rabbits love a challenge and love chewing on things that aren't where they are supposed...

    Destructive Bun! Hoping for help!

if you can stand the mess a bale of hay is a much loved toy. They can chew, burrow, pull, rip, tear, throw, and destroy! If you can get a BIG box, put the hay bale inside and then cut a couple holes for the buns to go in and out it helps contain the mess.

I can't handle my bunny anymore

I buy long boxes like tunnels and put they behind furniture such as couches, the bunnies prefer to run through them and it can save some wear and tear on the furniture. Putting balled up brown paper or newspaper into them so the bunnies have to remove them can help keep them busy from time to...

    Hay and Treats

I get my hay from Amazon, small pet select. I had bad luck with the compressed bales at my local tractor supply, they were super dusty and the bunnies wouldn't touch them. For treats they get tiny slices of apples and a cheerio or a bran flake (unsweetened plain cereal) Sometimes they get a...

NAILS! Do some rabbits just NOT need their nails trimmed?

I have had rabbits that trimmed their own rear nails, just chewed they down when they got long! It's the exception rather than the rule, but I've seen it. I handle my house bunnies paws regularly so they are used to it come nail trimming time. I just fondle their paws during petting sessions...

    My rabbit died today suddenly.

I lost one of my rabbits (about 2 years old) suddenly a few weeks ago. He was fine, eating, playing, interacting, running in his wheel and dead less than 24 hours later. The only symptom of illness was diarhea which started late at night. My daughter went into the hospital the same night my...

Old to rabbits, New to this forum

Just wanted to introduce myself. Been keeping bunnies for about 45 years. These days I have two house bunnies, a 5 yr old mini satin and an 8 week old silver fox. Both males, I love my boys! Over the decades I've had rabbits in just about every type of cage, enclosure, free run, house bunnies...
