First time mama throwing babies out of cage!!!

are you sure that she is throwing them out of the cage? REALLY sure? they might be latching on and being dragged out of the nest when mom hops away after feeding them. Occasional does will separate out their kits into two smaller nests. The ODD doe will dig out her entire nest which results...

    My Lost Again

Pet shops do not always keep their rabbits in horrid conditions and sexing of rabbits is not always easy, mistakes happen. :) so if buying a rabbit from a pet shop you want to see how they are kept, give rabbits a thorough health check before buying (listening for rattly breathing, clean...

How do you store your hay?

whatever you put your hay in make sure it's a container that breathes. Hay moulds REALLY quickly if in a sealed container. You can't always see the mould. So if you use a plastic bin and leave the top off or drill holes in the lid and sides.

    What breed is he..?

his colour is chestnut... either that or a brassy chinchilla. If he's brassy, he might be a young rabbit yet. And you'll have to wait and see how big he'll get. He looks like a typical flemish giant/new zealand cross.

My bunny is really aggressive please help!

I'm guessing you all would consider spanking to be child abuse then as well. Too often people cry ABUSE ABUSE when it's not. But as I said, agree to disagree. Time and commitment to doing things a different way works, only the OP knows if she is willing to commit that. BUT she needs...

My bunny is really aggressive please help!

We will have to agree to disagree about what is cruelty. If a rabbit attacks..hitting at it to stop it from attacking is often a natural response. NOW.. if she hits it BEFORE it attacks... different story. But honestly... training that rabbit IS possible, but it takes time and dedication...

My bunny is really aggressive please help!

giving a rabbit a whack is NOT criminal behaviour. it's called an inappropriate response to poor rabbit behaviour. CRIMINAL behaviour is being DELIBERATE about hurting an animal JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN. It's beating, maiming, burning, tying up too close and tight, withholding feed in order to...

    Opossums near us

Possums can and WILL kill rabbits...grabbing and chewing off what they can grab through the wire. make sure your rabbits are housed VERY securely at night. They can rip open cages if the latch is not secure. Make sure if you have a compost that it is clean of all meat/fat/cheese etc waste.

    How to remove dog smell?

is your doe that territorial that a DOG scent will set her off? If so...neutering will help with that. It's a dog, normally animals react to scent from their own kind.

    Mystery baby rabbit death

When they were nursing they were latched on when she left the box, the kits then scattered looking to stay warm. They can crawl through holes about 1 inch in diameter. You need a higher nestbox or one with a baby scratch bar to keep this from happening again.

Where can I find fresh hay in GTA region (Canada)?

why not go to a horse person and ask if you can buy a small bale of hay from them? rabbits eat horse quality hay, so just knock on a few doors where you see horses and ask if you can buy a small bale from them?
