she may simply be bored or be a rabbit who really likes to dig. Can you give her other options? OR put a grating over her litter so she can't dig it out?

My babies in the nestbox are nibbling on hay and pellets starting at the end of week one. The earlier you start them eating solid food they healthy they are long term gut health wise. at two weeks I flip the nestbox on it's side and scatter pellets in the box and put hay or greens at the...

    Humping brothers but underage...advice?

the rabbits humping is just dominance stuff going on. you will need to separate them at some point (easily done by adding a divider to the cage, making the area HUGE (much bigger than you'd think necessary), and adding LOTS of hidey holes. Some bunnies work it out, others never do, you won't...

    Rabbits don't really eat hay?

unlike many I don't subscribe to the feed them about a tbsp a day of pellets , all the hay they can eat and a mass of veggies daily theory. I think you do people all over the world a disserve when people INSIST that's the only way to feed rabbits. I believe that rabbits need a fully balanced...

    Rabbits don't really eat hay?

Some rabbits DON"T LIKE HAY. They don't. That's okay. There are TONS of ways to get long-stem fibre into rabbits...So utilize those. A good quality pellet will do the trick as well. :)

need a diagnosis on a young doe

looks like a small prolapse to me as well. No more breeding for that doe! Seriously. And if you can...get her spayed to prevent it from happening again. Do it once.. can do it again but more severely.

Doe with Dampness and Baldness Around Eyes

rabbits suffering from weepy eye often have an underlying issue of pasturella. Making it an immunologically related disease. Meaning that Stress makes it worse, mild allergies can make it worse, hormones fluctuating makes it worse etc. The fact that sometimes it goes away just means that...

    What breed are we?

they look fairly generic... like mixed breeds. The first could potentially be a chinchilla breed...but the colour covers lots of variation in breeds and is common in cross breeds as well.

    red sores on butt?

that poop though...that's a sign of impending digestive issues. That liquidy mucous stuff is from the bowel trying to protect itself from injury.

    Small alarms

Nonsense. I had a 11 year old buck who NEVER had hay as he didn't like it. Lived a good long life and I know many pet people who struggle to get their rabbits to live to 5 or 6 years who feed "all the hay they want". As long as rabbits are fed a balanced diet they do find...and a GOOD...

    Small alarms

i know it's going against the grain BUT... rabbits CAN survive and survive really well eating only pellets. Hay is NOT a requirement to survival. so as long as the bunny in question is eating, drinking, pooping and peeing as per normal, I'd stress not. IF that changes, then you worry and...

    Companions - must-have or optional?

the circling the legs things is a hormonally based behaviour, means your bunny is starting to mature. :)

    Companions - must-have or optional?

so her down time is when you aren't home, and her up time is when you are home. Sounds like a win for the bunny. Seriously...during the day most buns just chill out. They are most active during the morning and evening hours which...is when you tend to be home. I'd be more inclined to say...

    Dying rabbits hair??

i hope you have noticed there is no poop or pee in the cage. The rabbit could merely have been confined in the cage in order to take a good picture of him. There are different bowls in with him/her and what not. His/her life might not be as bad as some of you are supposing.

    Preparing cage for incoming babies!

NO. No water bottle. if mom builds a proper nest the babies will be fine. it ALL hinges on the doe. If she builds a good nest, she'll probably care for them well. If she builds a horrid nest, chances are she'll not care for them well. Chances are high that they will be just fine.
