    Hot Weather

My bun has a dedicated fan and I’ll sometimes give him an ice cube that he’ll dig at and lick

    watery, gunked-up eyes: need advice

Has his teeth been checked by the vet? Sometimes if teeth grow too long they can cause unceasing watery eye discharge

What are you currently feeding her?

    Freya is hospitalized

Have you looked to see if there’s a vet out of state that might be within reach for you? I understand if it’s not possible but if it’s an option, you might want to reconsider. With my bun, for his emergency we actually had to drive out of state to Massachusetts to find a good rabbit vet (we...

Tiny poops but eating well, steady weight

Glad your new vets found the issue! They sound way better than your old vets who wouldn’t even see him. If I were you, I’d definitely keep giving him metacam. I have a feeling that abscesses along the molars probably feel like just after you have wisdom teeth pulled and when the holes start to...

    Should I be concerned?

Sometimes if a bunny lies in something wet that’s not water (like a pee spot) for a few seconds, it dries up slightly crusty on their fur. That might be what happened here, unless it’s a drool issue like jbun mentioned.

    Seperated "bonded" pair and rebonding?

I think it took 2-4 weeks for my rabbit Bandit to get over his ear infection with medication. He was about 5 or 6 when it happened and from what I remember we caught onto it before it got really severe. (I was around 10-11 when I saw him fall over and unable to right himself because he...

    Seperated "bonded" pair and rebonding?

As far as I know, gi stasis shouldn’t cause a bun to lose balance. Hunch over in pain can happen but wobbling doesn’t sound right... Maybe @JBun knows if it does Has he been checked for an ear infection or e. Cuniculi? My first rabbit lost his balance due to an ear infection once and I have...

    Hello there

My bun is 1 year and a few months old. He isn’t neutered but is extremely friendly, has kept up his litterbox habits and doesn’t spray anymore (he used to do a tiny spray dribble around my dad at night but has stopped in the last few months). Personally, I think bunnies are affected by hormones...

    Hello there

Your bun looks like he might be a netherland dwarf bunny like mine! This breed stays small, so he could be young or old though if he’s really active and nibbles fingers, I’d guess on the younger end of the scale. My rabbit Minyeong (Min-Min) also likes chewing things. He nipped when he was very...

    Accidentally Stepped on Bunny

I’m offering advice from my OWN experience and I’m not saying she should openly disobey her parents. In my case, my dad thought my bunny would recover on his own. I didn’t think Min-Min would without help like pain medicine because he was trying to eat but couldn’t. Based on all his behavior...

Advice on how to best setup this area, please

If your bunnies don’t like the ramp, maybe you could make a two or three step staircase instead. Just in case the ramp doesn’t work out. The first rabbit I had, didn’t mind using a ramp for his two story cage and scampered up and down fine. With my second (and current bun) he can’t stand ramps...

    Accidentally Stepped on Bunny

Take home to a vet as soon as you can. My dad accidentally stepped on my bun earlier this year. He “appeared” fine and ran around being mischievous but I noticed he was having trouble eating. We took him to an emergency vet and he had a broken jaw. If we hadn’t taken the initiative and taken...

    What toys should I get?

Sometimes I’ll throw a paper towel sheet on the ground for my bunny. He'll dig at it and then tear it apart by ripping it up with his mouth. Maybe taking one or two bites but doesn’t eat much of it. He also enjoys tearing up cardboard. Min-Min likes being a destructo-bunny.

    Dutchess went onto her back-?

I’ve had my bunny throw himself into a flop so hard, he rolled almost completely back onto his feet again. He was extremely disgruntled by it. Then he went back into a sunbeam for a redo and flopped less hard (so he was on his side).

    Firework anxiety

Play fireworks sounds from YouTube for him so he gets used to the random sounds of it. The sudden bursts and spurts are probably what’s getting to him even more than loudness. Playing firework sounds from a low to moderate loudness range worked perfectly for my rabbit. It helps desensitize them...

    Rabbit is wobbly

My first bun, a dwarf hotot mix, got a bad ear infection once. Never saw anything in his ear. It was only when he lost balance and fell over on his side that we were able to tell. Took him to the vet and he was diagnosed and treated. He lived another three years.
